Yes it's almost as if people got carried away and overpromised with talk of 150million spend + cash generated from sales before it was realistically possible to know that's how it would pan out Now things have naturally developed, agents, clubs and players may have changed their minds, prices may have changed, other clubs may have got involved, and those predictions have been revised to a more conservative level. Just goes to show, until it's done reserve a hefty portion of salt.

Poch himself also didn't help to contain excitement with his end of season comments haha

Re Danny Rose; he is not interested in a move to Everton. Knowing what a strange world this is, I know strange things happens. I don’t know if the club will push him. But he has no desire to go there

Starting to sound like legend of Icarus, is Danny.

It's a shame, as he made a silly mistake but I can see why he might have felt he was doing the right thing. 11 years at the club would be a shame to end sour.

If the management at Spurs have forgiven Rose I wonder why the same route isn’t possible for Toby?

I know it’s slightjy different as Toby and his advisers have pissed Levy off, but I can’t imagine him being too pleased about the way Rose behaved either . In fact you could argue it’s worse.

I doubt that Poch disagreed completely with what he said, rather how he said it.

Some of us need to get off his back!

I think after how Dannys big power play last august worked out the least he can expect is to be the butt of a few jokes.

Actually we know how sad he gets when people make jokes (especially on twitter) so I’ll stop now, I don’t want to push him to another expose with his favourite paper:(

I would. Best left back in the league and he wants to stay. Don’t cut your nose off to spite your face.

I suspect he wants to stay because the club's who were interested in him last summer no longer are and teams in a worse position than us, like Everton, are now the ones interested.

I'm not convinced he's 100% committed.

Unfortunately until that comes we out we can only talk about what we know. 1)Rose publicly criticised our recruitment 2) Toby wanted to extend his contract. Toby all the way for me, better asset for the club.
