It all feels a little chaotic. I hope things are considerably more focused at Tottenham Towers than the scattergun approach we appear to be taking on transfer targets.

I wouldn't be too upset at Austin. The guy is a goal scorer and that's what we need. He's scored one in two or better at every level he's played at. He will score goals if he comes.

Re ITK at the end of the window.

It's worth bearing in mind that the situation is very fluid/volatile at this business end of the window; players who were previously unavailable suddenly come onto the market and the same the other way around. It is the reason, after all, that we wait until this time to do a good proportion of our business.

In other words info given in good faith really is a snapshot now, and with a very limited shelf-life. So, more than ever, no wrist slitting or premature euphoria!

What we are doing is exactly how I play my championship manager game

Its hard to sign strikers, there's very few good ones about, we got lucky with Kane coming through our academy. Very lucky! Austin may not be first, second or third choice but he has scored goals, even if we signed him just to play him in the cup's and Europa League surely that's better than a completely fatigued HK going at it all season and then we can keep him fresh for the League, Just a thought I am not completely against the move.

So true mate. And this is why we leave it late, the psychology of a deadline has a massive impact. Sometimes it can work beautifully, other times not so much.

Here's to hoping we have a strong finish.

Its DEJA VU again. We have known since last season that we would want a ST/CF and without doubt a DM. here we are 28 hours before the window closes and all our plans seem to be going haywire. If DL is more concerned about a net spend then we will never achieve what we or the manager wants until such time the stadium is built and we have bums on seats.

To be fair you can at least understand us wanting to be updated on Austin, even if he may be 5/6 players down the list, because we really need to sign someone up front, even if it's just for Europa League and cup games or when Kane is injured.

Hoping it's to do with us actually being organised rather than the opposite.

FFS...relax, remember JJ's info from earlier. If we are keeping tabs on Austin, we may be keeping tabs on others and even then it may be the final resort.
