That doesn’t mean much

It means a lot, the attacking midfielders we’ve been linked with have been £35-50m plus. In order to purchase a player in this bracket and as per previous ITK we need to offload Tanguy. Whereas to sign a striker it doesn’t appear to be reliant on his sale and the reported fees are a lot less than it would take to sign another midfielder.

Amazing how many people seem to not understand this. I'm sure it must be wilful in a lot of cases.
Actually my regret to the above is the term ‘low ball’. Realistic is more the right term.

Eriksen only had six months left, King is HG, different positions, etc. There's loads of reasons why the price could be different.

At the same time, King is a few echelons below Eriksen's level (as it was), Bournemouth are in the league below and will struggle to avoid his wages. Also, pre-COVID valuation.

I think the balance is that King is definitely closer to £10m in value.

Which is what D1 is saying.

i am actually with Levy on this. Would not spend more than max 12 to maybe 15 on King, As a Norwegian i always wait for his next hamstring injury every time he is on international duty.

Good player, but his hamstring will only get weaker the older he gets :nailbiting:

I haven't been around this forum much because the threads usually just descend into chaos and wishlists. If I've done something wrong then delete my post and spare my 10 year career here :)

You need to delete it yourself.

Then you've had ten years to read the rules :D

If anyone sees a media link that they think needs a player thread, pop a PM with the link over to @THFCSPURS19 and @Univarn who are the player thread gods.

Yes, both of them, that way whoever logs onto SC first sees it.

Will set up a standing order - makes greater sense for me. I spend £10 a month on Apple Music; sure I can donate similar here. Oh, and some nappies and baby grows for @Stoof

Metalhead

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Fair. It’s hard to imagine DL going over 15 million.

far too simplistic. There are other buyers in most scenarios, and there’s the time factor.

Levy supporters often claim that some have no grasp of how complicated deals are, now it’s a straightforward bilateral haggle?

Absolutely love this place so it's nice to be able to give back, even if it is just a tenner. Keep up the great work Mods/everyone. Let's hope for some more crack ITK in the near future (y)
