Wasn't sure if he meant our offer wasn't good enough yet or the player wasn't. If the latter then as he's only 19 I don't think anyone expected him to be first 11 level instantly. If the former then I'd see it as a positive that we are actively bidding.

Yeah I'm confused by JJ's comments about Werner.

If he's saying that the club feel he's not currently good enough as a backup striker then I'd agree but from what I've seen of him, he's not a striker. He's far more of a winger than anything else.

It's all the more strange by the fact that (whispers quietly) Werner signing for Spurs is all over twitter this morning.
