Hate to condone it, but it's time for LoCelso to pull a Berbatov/Modric/Bale type strop.
To be fair, Betis have likely told him a fee has been agreed 3 times without following through on it. I wouldn't blame him really.

Just got this.....

We should have walked away from the Lo Celso deal weeks ago. Fee agreed in principle for the third time and again they want to change the structure. Everything else has been agreed for over a month.

Guess the problem exists if Poch really, really wants him then Levy will do his best to make it happen without paying stupid money

On the up side that little bit of ITK says we have agreed the fee which people thought was the problem, hopefully that means they are just still trying to milk as much out of the arrangement as they can. I guess you could think that they are just putting more and more obsticles in the way because they really don't want to sell but if that's the case why not just refuse to negotiate in the first place? I am still convinced they will sell, it's why they bought him in the first place.

We've apparently agreed a fee for the 3rd time, and each time Betis have reneged and come back with a higher demand, That is a problem.

Change the structure doesn't necessarily mean asking for a higher amount, not sure what it could be though

Trix didn't say that though, he said they want to change the structure again and the fee was agreed three weeks ago.

Re reading the info from Trix, it seems that it’s the payment structure that’s the problem rather than th fee itself.

Can’t tell if we have moved on or we’re hanging on to a deal being done.

Yeah, that is a good point - I think that you have a great point over the arrangement side of it - what I don't quite understand is why not just say 'this is how we want it' rather than pissing about agreeing terms and then changing their minds? It's a bit odd.

You can say what you want about goal posts moving on Betis side. You will never know. It could be we decided with Eriksen refusing to leave, Fernandes was a better and cheaper buy.

Or the club decided with Eriksen staying, there's no need to buy another mid fielder. Typically, you will hear medicals by now with 4 days left.

My guess both GLC and Fernandes are both not happening. Club just leaking news about both to get our hopes up so when we get only Segesson, we can say the club was not at fault for GLC, no time for Fernandes blah blah...and hey we still have CE, so count your blessings...it's a silly market...we tried..blah blah..

If I was MP, I'll walk.

You've taken ITK from Trix explicitly saying that it's Betis moving the goal posts and tried to work it as if it's the club being cheap even though Trix has made it clear many times he gets his stuff from the agents side who have no incentive to make the club look good.

My annoyance is that we would even give them three chances to move the goalposts.

First time, fair enough, renegotiate. Second time tell them to go fuck themselves. We've now got 4 days of the window left and we're starting from scratch.

It's just how some people do it, keep pushing at the end for a little bit more.
It seems to me there are two points to take into account, one is that the Betis people are obviously tough negotiators and two Daniel Levy will treat it as simply business and won't take it personally so if he is determined then it will get done.

Seriously baffles me how some can be so negative all the time

It's the downside of Poch being stubborn about who he wants. In previous windows I think we would have bailed by now, but Levy (aware of the consequences) is trying his best to give Poch what he wants. Can't fault him for that.

I'm one of the more positive posters on here, and I can fully see the final 4 days being an absolute disaster.

We can blame Eriksen and Betis for playing us about all we like, but the bulk of our transfer activity, particularly incoming, should have been more or less agreed before the Asia tour.

There's plenty to take with barrowloads full of salt in every transfer window, but the one thing I never believe is that the club leaks false stories about transfers in order to appease the fans!

One look at this forum, any other forum, Twitter, and anywhere else you care to waste your time will prove beyond any reasonable doubt whatsoever that deliberately getting fans' hopes up with the intention of disappointing them is probably the silliest idea since sunglasses for dogs or something else too fucking stupid to spend time thinking about.
