Yes, he did. I can genuinely see us (or another team if we're not careful) putting in a cheeky low bid of a few million just to tempt them to part ways early. Some money is better than no money...

As I think someone may have pointed out earlier, Schalke will likely make more money by keeping him until the summer. They won't get much for him with 6 months left - they will get more if they finish higher in the Bundesliga and progress to the next round of the CL (a good chance they will). Also gives them time to find a suitable replacement.

Didn't think of it that way. Probably right as he is a very important player for them and I don't think he's using up too much of their wage bill either.

No way Walcott is coming but can't understand people that say they wouldn't have him. I know he doesn't like playing on the right but he could have been the goalscoring winger everyone is saying we lack. Great alternative to Ade, Lennon & Defoe imo
