Am I alone in not being all warm and fuzzy at the thought of Berahino?

A quick scan of me ole brainbox and I'd say he's about the number 6th or 7th choice England striker right now and England are a bit shitty.

A few years ago Carlton Cole would've been his equivalent(with regard to England pecking order) and we know the emotions that name stirs up

He plays for West Brom, is 22 but has done very well in the under-21s. Is Pritchard such a terrible prospect because he's at least 6th or 7th in line as an attacking option for England at about the same age - and he's only played a full season in the Championship? Steve Bruce never got a cap - was he crap?

I don't want to sign Steve Bruce either, we don't put enough balls in the box to get goals out of the smudged nosed porker

Sorry to state the obvious but how would positive ITK help at all ? ITK is ALWAYS positive but ITK isn't reality and in reality we don't come anywhere close to the predictions of the ITKs in any TW.

ITK is just some light relief to give us hope and to lift the gloom of our reality.

No negative ITK, really? How about when JJetset comes in and does us a favour by poo-poohing optimistic rumours. Or how about when we were informed that Bale and Modric were actually on their way out.

What I was hoping for was some fresh ITK on us progressing further with attacking reinforcements. I guess in light of recent balls on the line ITK there isn't much scope for anything to be more exciting, but that doesn't stop me from hoping for a bit more info. We were clearly lacking cutting in edge today and in Colorado...

As a signing he doesn't excite me
But he's got a Brazilian sounding name, so he must be good. An English striker that sounds foreign. Media will love him as he's english. Fans will love the exotic name. What's not to get excited about?

I was excited about Giovani Dos Santos. And Lamela. Not so much Chadli. Laughed at Kane starting for us less than a year ago. Shows I know F all really, like most of us. Berahino while not an exciting europen star will be a smart purchase. Can play a few positions, scores goals, knows a lot of out young players very well. Smart, low risk hight reward signing.

People are nose excited about Werner it seems. A youth player who doesnt start for Stuttgart. Strange.

I think Saido is the African version of the Arabic name Said; just as Mahmadu equates to Mahmud.

But the way you put your point across. It's like saying Pritchard isn't worth giving a shot this season because he's down the pecking order in his respective position in the England squad. Despite the fact he, nor Berahino have ever been given a shot!

Well yes, there was a time when Helda Postiga was ahead of Ronaldo for Portugal so maybe the tongue in cheek Carlton Cole reference has not gone down well with some more serious posters.

I just think that some are so desperate for a signing that they are starting to overestimate his potential impact.

He's not as exciting as Kanoute or Defoe were for me but you'd think he was Lineker or Berbatov reading some stuff on here

Berahino lives in the street that backs on to my girlfriends parents.

It looks like his house is up for sale

May just be a coincidence but hey ho
