I watched that MouRinho doc last night on the recommendation of someone on here and AVB is littered throughout it. One scene where Mourinho comes out and just slumps on Barcelona's bench waiting for the match, acting all nonchalent and confident and sitting next to him, the only other person on the bench is Villas Boas. Sure he lacks the charisma of Mourinho but he's charming enough and plenty of players, if in any way students of the game will associate him with Mourinho, with winning, with modern coaching techniques and with the future.

It's all good.

Fucking brilliant signing and a small, bloodless coup. Holtby on a free. Gotta love this kind of deal. Our midfield options are looking rather young and fresh faced suddenly. Sigs, Holtby, Sandro all early 20's. Dembele just a couple of yrs older. Young quality which will only improve with coaching and time. Considering what AVB has managed so far with an unbalanced and injury-ravaged squad...pitching a tent.

Fair play to that 'Olderyid' guy, whether his ITK was legit or not, the lad signed, so respect to the man.

Obviously it was legit. He may have been lucky to have run into Holtby but he had the presence of mind to chat to him and posted what he found out which has been confirmed by events today.

Just been told that we are very confident on Holtby. There will be no rush and there is no panic. We expect him to sign.
However it suggests that its Summer not January.

Well we're are sitting 3rd in the league having just sold two of our best players from last season. I'd say it's clear to a lot of people that AVB can back-up his work at Porto when not in a club run by some Russian ****.

Well he signed in the summer whilst we were still possibly interested in Inter and Inter were certainly trying to flog Leandro off to someone in Italy.

Not sure it has any more bearing now than it did then. The biggest reason why Inter will be selling Leandro to someone this window IMO is that his value will potentially half by the summer with his lack of any real competitive action until then.

That being said i'm not sure how keen i am on us signing him anymore.

Great little coup. Cover for dembele and a striker would be a nice (dare I say within realms of possibility with this much of the window left) would be a lovely little window!
