So AG says Dybala is on our wish list? I can't keep up these days. Praying it happens tho.
Nah he didn't say that. He was responding to more noise in the media about Dybala by saying that Paratici didn't fancy him and that is why we haven't made a move.

Makes more sense, AG has been saying we don't want him for a while so would be quite the turn around. The other names on that list are rather uninspiring or completely unrealistic save for Nunez.

He was pivotal in Newcastle’s revival. He’s a very underrated player and a nightmare for defenders to deal with.

Currently we have Bergwijn and Moura, neither are particularly difficult to defend against. Moura can create space but more often than not he forgets to take the ball with him or runs into a dead end.

A player in the mould of ASM and Traore are a nightmare to play against. You can’t double up on Kane, Son, Kulusevski and/or ASM/Traore… at the same time. ASM and a like are great at creating space and buckling a tight defence, allowing Kane and co to find space and reek havoc.

I’d be happy with ASM for Bergwijn.
This ?

ASM would make a lot of sense to me, firstly he'd be a rotational choice so already that takes the pressure off of it compared to signing Bastoni for example. Secondly he reminds me a lot of Hazard in his low centre of gravity and the way players bounce off of him and the way Hazard used his ass to great effect, I see a similar trait in ASM and when you think about how Conte got the best out of Hazard, that makes me excited. I think that ASM is a player who right now relies on individual brilliance and that his output doesn't reflect his ability, well I think that Conte having a structured approach would see ASM go up several levels. Also I think Mane is a good comparison in terms of the fact he was pretty decent at Southampton but nobody really thought he was worth the money United or Liverpool were willing to pay, I remember a lot of jokes toward United about being keen on him and then he joined Liverpool and the rest is history, so whilst it doesn't guarantee anything, I'd be hoping for a similar effect.

Signing ASM who can play either side and selling Bergwijn and adding Scamacca would probably be better than signing Nunez and give us more options but we'll see. Nunez looks an absolutely fantastic player though so you're gambling on Scamacca ending up the better choice and having ASM being the cover on the wings rather than signing Nunez who potentially can cover all 3 positions.
He’s already a folk hero at Newcastle- I can’t see him leaving just as they’re getting started on their oil-fuelled journey.

That’s the way I see it. He’s a hero there, they’re on the up.

Yes, he’s be getting CL exposure here, but he wouldn’t be in the first team

Interesting that Paratici doesn’t fancy him. Did he not sign him for Juventus? Bit of a red flag for me - the guy who last signed him wouldn’t sign him again

Paratici was the one trying to sell Dybala to Spurs a couple of years ago…I’d be surprised if he wants to sign him now.

Anyone think that Conte might try and convert ASM into a RWB? Strong, Quick, good dribbler, can cross- probably horrific at defending?
I think he would be seen mostly in rotation with (and perhaps succession-planning for) Son.

Can't see Newcastle selling ASM - and I don't know where he fits with us right now.

Whole link feels odd to me.(n)

Would rather sign someone that has a proven record of scoring goals and end product. He's similar to traore in that he runs a lot for very little end product.
