Yes Feckin please.

I thought Mourinho's public humiliation directed at Martial and Rashford would most probably point to probable exit for former, and maybe the latter.

BBC...

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was scathing about some of his fringe players as they lost 1-0 to Brighton.

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial started in a front three following injuries to top scorer Romelu Lukaku and January signing Alexis Sanchez.

"For 10 months I get asked 'why always Lukaku? Why always Lukaku? Why always this player?'" Mourinho said.
"'That guy doesn't have a chance to start, the other one is on the bench'. You know why now."

This doesnt just excite me because he is a top player. It’s excites me because we could be buying a top player from Man United younger than his prime, very exciting times ahead for Tottenham

I don't belive we can get Martial without giving them one of our players. Toby or Rose are obvious choice.

Hearing the news re Martial this morning is very exciting, just pray it is true and JJ confirms it

Martial is exactly what we need and believe if we got him a few years ago when we should have, we would have won the league
Well, slap my arse and call me Gertrude- this is delicious news

Yeah considering the Toby to United links. If we get Martial in the deal, might be the only way selling him in the league bearable

I’m going against the grain here and gonna say although he’s got good attributes, his end product is very hit and miss and he drifts out of games for long periods.

Martial would be a brilliant signing. I'd be very surprised if Mourinho/United let him come to us though.

After recent happenings from Poch, our Daniel ‘may’ be melting. Meaning, it is one or the other. We all know how long he has been wanting Martial, and we were very close last season. Knew we were in for him (again) HY is a very brave geezer.

Really?...9 goals, 5 assists in 30 prem appearances, mostly from the bench.

That's a goal or assist nearly every other game. Not to shabby.

In all competitions he stands at 11 goals, 9 assists in 44 games. Again, not too far off the 1 in 2 goal or assist ratio.

Not bad for 22

Yes please. Wanted him since we were first linked. Mourinho has as good as wasted this lads development.

We could be getting a player here who is so desperate to show what he can do and is already Premier League ready!

Hertyid is typically very very accurate so here’s hoping. Have always thought he’d be a monster player for us.

I don't think it is neccessary that one of ours would go other direction. Mou sometimes sells player which he doesn't rate to rivals, for example look at Mata.

edit: what just crossed my mind.. would Martial mean zero chance of getting Bale? Who Martial replaces btw? Janssen as the striker/wingforward hybrid?

What is martial preferred position?
I thought he was a CF when Man U singed him but they generally played him on the left every time I saw him

Be interesting to see how that compares to son, Alli etc in terms of minutes played. he does have pace and power which are great attributes to have and ones we were missing before the Lucas signing but the thing I’m really not convinced about him is his personality on the pitch, he just seems disinterested in the game a lot of the time. There doesn’t seem a lot of hunger in there. We would of put up with that a decade ago maybe but right now these are the things that are going to make a difference for us especially in areas where we’re fairly strong. I wouldn’t be completely opposed to the signing but it’s not a signing that will push us over the line. I would be far more excited by De Ligt and a couple of top draw full backs.

People use to say the same about Verts when he was seen slouching in the tunnel under Sherwood's stewardship. Perhaps the defensive mindset at Utd isn't for him?

Did well at Monaco - and that's what earned him his move.

DL very rarely 'melts', and when he does it's usually in the last hour of the window.
