Today will be another Flat Friday unless maybe we finally get rid of Hutton or Keane, but even that looks unlikely tbh.

It still defies my logic how we can get to 1 week from the season and not have made a signing of note. There must have been at least one of our targets we could have sorted out by now??

These Fridays come around far to quick.

Dragons ITK doesn't help but isn't that obvious to the club? I don't put an offer in on a £10m house and then realise I might not be able to pay the mortgage a week before I move in.

Very true. But they don't have to leave if they don't want to. If not legally, then morally Citeh will find it difficult not to loan out a player like Adebayor if they don't have him in their 25. And that will almost certainly mean them making up the difference on his wages.

Citeh can't afford these wages, either. They need to reduce the bill for the FFP rules. If they can't sell Adebayor, then getting, say, £80k of his wages off their bill in a loan is the next best thing. Levy knows all this. So he can take a chance. Who else would want Adebayor on loan that could afford even half his wages?

In the context of the player:
If you were working for a salary of 180k per week, doing nothing much, and then another company comes and offers you 90k per week, asks you to do this, do that, earn your wages etc, I think it's a no brainer where I want to go.

In the context of the club:
This staff won't move on? Fine, I'll just find more investment to make my numbers look good thus I can pass my auditory checks. No issues. I have a sugar daddy anyway.

You would think so, but even more worrying is the fact we haven't sold any one since O'Hara and that was yonks ago.

It's not clear what you are saying. Are you saying that you WOULD go to the employer offering you half the money? Whht I am saying is that Adebayor gets his money whatever happens - he's contractually entitled to it. But IF Citeh don't put him in their 25, then they must try to get him a loan place, and that will only happen if they subsidise his wages. I don't know if there would be legal implications of not naming him in their 25 and not loaning him, but the moral implications are enough to make them sweat.

And "investment" doesn't help them with the FFP rules. They need operating profit. A handout from an Arab won't cut it.
