I know this probably will get neged, but i must say, the thought of Berahino leaves me a little bit cold. I would assume that we are buying him to be a starter as i doubt he would move otherwise, but i just feel so apathetic about getting him ether way. Saying that, i realise at this point in time he is probably our best option so i really do hope it works out for him and us. I just really hope we didn't overspend on him.

I have the hunch that this bleat is from an extremely good source indeed and is utterly fantastic news.

Berahino is exactly what we need, both in tandem with Kane where he's proven and instead when Kane is rested and god forbid injured.

If Kane is going to get EVEN better he'll need some solid competition and this is just what the doctor ordered.

less than 48 hrs to get a player signed, to being able to be on the bench for Saturday. This is getting dragged out a little.

(insert deity here) bless the Goat.

Very good and timely info to save the thread.

Especially pleased about the Berahino info but it is also starting to get incredibly reminiscent of Benteke 2013, although at least this time we can't opt for Soldado instead!

*pretends to ignore Ali Z's latest Adebayor snippet*

I think its possible for both the goat and Ali Z to be right on this one - Ade and agent are bound to be after anything they can get (and more) BUT he know's he's done at Spurs and this has to be the best offer he'll get. I think they'll play silly buggers all the way up to the point of signing.

Like the latest Goat ITK.

I think Werner (from what I've heard) and Berahino would give us a variety of options upfront and behind the striker, and obviously getting Ade and Soldado out the door would be a bonus.

If all of that comes off then that only leaves a midfielder (possibly 2) to bring in and Lennon, Fazio and possibly Townsend to sell.

Ha...only.

If these two signings come off we get a huge injection of pace at the very least.

In all seriousness, Werner, Berahino + a CDM would be a dream.

I still think we'd leave ourselves short up front though. We need another striker in Kane's mould.

Sort of know what you mean but after the club missing out on Martial then going for well, a PL experienced goal scorer who can play in a couple of positions? Its a sort of non-fussy Fergie type signing.

Both are quite smart too - clever movement and read the game well. Not like the old breed of one-dimensional whippets (cough Defoe, cough Bent)

I hope the Goat is right but it seems very unlikely we will have the Beharino signing wrapped up for the United game. Especially as we haven't even had a bid accepted yet.

Hopefully i'm wrong but I just don't see it happening that quickly.

Would love Werner and Berahino, would it be greedy to want another out and out striker in too?

Be surprised if things move that fast with West Brom for Berahino but fingers crossed.

Defoe a whippet? Berahino is definitely at his best running of the last man with clever movement. Werner looks like he has a lot of pace in a counter attack but needs more end product.

If Werner would be watching at UTD I would take that to mean he would actually be signed and with the squad/management.

if we need to drag it out for the betterment of the club, so be it. You don't sacrifice in negotiations to get two players in for a fixture you'll most likely drop whether they are there or not.

How come Berahino has been allowed to visit the training ground?
Didn't think we'd even had a bid accepted.
Imagine if we heard Kane has visited the Man Utd training ground, be a riot.

On holiday in Italy and only able to log on now and again.
Was hoping that Ade would be gone by now but no such luck.
However based on The Goats latest post Im certain he will be gone soon , so much so I have donated the £50 I said I would if he goes.
So I'm saying it now good riddance and COYS
