I hope the Goat is right but it seems very unlikely we will have the Beharino signing wrapped up for the United game. Especially as we haven't even had a bid accepted yet.

Hopefully i'm wrong but I just don't see it happening that quickly.
If whats being said is true, we are somehow managing to keep things incredibly well under wraps. Especially as Berahino moving to us would be big, big news.

I'm not sceptical about the ITK because what do i know?! And i know british media is by no means the hallmark of authenticity, but its hard to believe this is close when nothing is being reported on potential deals for Werner and Berahino. We'll see!

Well there will definitely be rumblings of a bid for Berahino going in pretty soon if Saturday is a possibility to have him signing by.

Fingers crossed.

Defoe a whippet? Berahino is definitely at his best running of the last man with clever movement. Werner looks like he has a lot of pace in a counter attack but needs more end product.

If Werner would be watching at UTD I would take that to mean he would actually be signed and with the squad/management.

I agree, if Werner is watching at OT, it's all done bar the shouting. Sounds like this Goat info is from inside the club, which is very promising IMO.

Damn the Goat and his positive news.

I'd just bought shares in razor-blades and cyanide.

To bring a player to watch one of our matches, I would assume that terms would have to be agreed with the selling club already and just contracts to be signed with the player.

Sometimes, it sounds like some of you want the ITKs, or the club, or both to fail. To each his own I suppose, but then why spend so much time writing about. Putting together many snippets of ITK, I believe it is pretty clear that we have several major deals at a very advanced stage. Bot incoming and outgoing.

It's not vital to have them all sugned before the ManUtd match. It will always be tricky to face them away regardless. As for the rest of the month, we are facing rather light opposition, and if we haven't improved from last season in our ability to defeat certain types of teams, well then a far bigger job is needed beyond a couple of signings anyway.

I feel reassured that some interesting deals will happen, and I shan't pretend that I'm not impatient. But whilst waiting for announcements, can we at least tune down the need for endless mockery of the info we do get.

Yes but when the squad is blatantly not ready for the start of the season it's a bit silly isn't it! I'd agree with your post if we had what we needed and were only chasing the odd squad player to bulk out the ranks.

I know, at this rate we will have to start the season with pretty much the same side that beat Chelsea and Arsenal last season.

Its a shame because I felt we could have turned Utd at OT and Stoke over quite comfortably if we had held onto Paulinho and Capoue and maybe got Werner in in time.

I agree with what you're saying but we've had deals pop up out of nowhere before, within 48 hours of the media getting wind of the deal.

I could see the Berahino being wrapped up quickly with West Brom as if there's a deal in the pipeline they won't be able to play him this weekend anyway. Well they could but it rarely happens as it pisses the player off and the buying club too, they won't want a player on the pitch that's more concerned with not getting injured than winning the game. If the ITK comes good on this I bet we've been told how much West Brom want and have a good idea what they'll accept. Most transfers are dealt with pretty amicably, even if the selling club want to keep the player, all you have to do it not be arseholes and start talking to the press about the player *cough* Chelsea *cough*
