Haven't seen him, but Lyon conceded 51 last season; in the top ten in Ligue 1 only Evian were worse. That may not be down entirely to Lloris, and only someone who watches a lot of French football could really give a view, but by itself that figure isn't encouraging.

He was pretty much the perfect GK on Football Manager a couple of years back. That may explain where some of the fervent enthusiasm for his signature comes from.

It's a shame Levy didn't spend like this when we had CL football.
But better late than never.

Just wondering about Higuain and Ade, They had a successful partnership at Madrid so they can use that experiance to become a better partnership.

Also a quick question guys

Why haven't we enquired for Julio Cesar???
He is leaving Inter Milan!!!!

Because a massive policy at spurs is youth and development. We already have two aged keepers, I presume levy and avb are planning for long term, a keeper who can be no.1 for 10+ years.

forlan also, yeah he's old but so was saha. if we're struggling to find a striker just bring him in as a safety option

edit - 'spursince57' if you would care to elaborate on what you thought was bad spelling about this post please go on?

'r_baker' disagrees with a factual statement—that Lyon conceded 51 goals last season, the second worst in the top half of Ligue 1. 'r_baker', being the clever little clogs that he is, neglected to note that at no point did I say, 'this makes lloris shit' because I'm not the kind of person who makes a judgement on a player without having watched him (actually I have, but several seasons ago), or claims a club that finished fourth in their league are a long way from doing so. I mean, only a complete idiot would do something like that! All I noted was that the figure wasn't, by itself, encouraging, which it isn't (well, 'r_baker' may disagree for all I know), and that only someone who watches a lot of French football can really give a view. Those points went right over someone's head.

Probably huge wages. Must be a reason inter are shifting him and Lucio. Trouble makers I reckon.

We still need one wide player and striker in addition to ade, have we been linked with anyone recently except sturridge link from JJ
There still seems to be the odd link with Remy for the wide role, and the links for Leandro for the central role will continue i'm sure.

Although if we sign Oscar I would not be surprised if Gylfi or Rafa play on the right.

Still hoping we pull off a surprise signing though. Someone we haven't been linked to who AVB may have discovered during his time off.

I havent seen much of Gylfi on the wing as at Swansea he always played in the middle of a 4231
