Could see Newcastle coming in at £15m. Mike Ashley would see that as a big win given the fee we paid him. Bit like our keano to pool dealings. Wolves would be a good shout or Watford. I say trade at £20m and take the loss. Replace with youth or if we keep dembele for another year and try to bring in a cm.....

I know Rafa rates him - believe he made him captain before he left. And from Levy's perspective this would make sense because I imagine we still owe them money for the transfer and they could instead just write off the debt instead of requiring them to find the funds and structure the payments themselves, meaning it becomes an "easier" transfer in theory. However, their fan base would go into absolute meltdown if they brought him back. It's not like he was a world class player that went rogue and pissed them off by leaving, they hated him for years before he left.

It's a really strange one. I was vehemently against the signing in the first place, he's been an absolute disaster while he's been here (barring that superb game at the Bernabeu), but the way our central midfield is looking, can we even afford to let him go?

It's a shame because Sissoko's a good lad really, great attitude, hard worker, etc. but I can't get round the fact that replacing him would make me much happier than keeping him on.

Thats my issue with people crtiticising him. He workd hard and always seemed to give 110%, never moaned. Its just hes not good enough

completely agree with people saying he works hard and doesn't deserve the abuse... I really hate when I see our "fans" lay into any of our players on social media etc.... the way to make someone play better isn't to completely destroy their self belief! and also they are still human beings despite their pay cheques. But I'm still more excited by ITK on him potentially leaving than I would be if we had actual ITK linking us to Messi!

We've done 5 pages on 1 simple line of ITK and all the variances of posts could be encapsulated in probably about 3 posts total, I don't want to be a moaning bastard about it but lets take it to the player thread considering its about 1 singular player before we end up losing this thread and likely some decent ITK that would go along with it.

I would hope there's some sensibility about and its nice to see (and appreciated) that people are helping out with 'nudges' in the appropriate direction. But do it nicely.

For what its worth, I doubt very much that there will be any more locking of this thread now that we're in the home straight, that wouldn't sit right with us, now is the time, more than ever, that this thread will be busy and more importantly, needed and even more importantly, have some fun too.

BUT

The banstick is out, polished and lubed. We'll be making liberal use of it should people persist in spamming the thread or whatnot and I'm pretty sure nobody wants to lose their access now, right on the vinegar strokes of the transfer window, so if people just give a little thought to what they post, we'll all have a grand time of it.
