But we need someone now summer is No good we may well miss out on success this season if we do Fuck all about it just because of money again.
Soton makes sense. He could make a rep there and be as successful as Lambert maybe.
I'd say around £5MNot a chance in hell we would go anywhere near 9m for ings.
What's the likely fee for him in the summer after tribunal?
We've got 3 RWFs. We could let one of those go (say Lennon, as rumoured) and then use Ings primarily as a LWF (where we only have one - Chadli) this season
5m + Dier loan to get him CB time.

He's cup tied for the League Cup though, which is our big chance of success.
He used to play for Soton - well he was in their academy and they released him. So going there would in some senses be going backwards.
Not if they are in the ECL as some here predict! He used to play for Soton - well he was in their academy and they released him. So going there would in some senses be going backwards.
It is relevant if you live in the real world and you have to pay all of them whether they score or not. We could probably loan Soldado easily, so it is still a possibility. If you are thinking we hit Feb 1 with four strikers in the squad you are crazy.Having 3 strikers is irrelevant if 2 of them can't be relied on... even more so when one of them would be more at home in a padded room than on a football pitch at the moment. An injury to Kane and we're in the sh*t. Ings for £9m is a no brainer.
Yeah, was released form their vaunted academy at a young age and went to Bournemouth. That move would make a lot of sense for everyone involved honestly. He's a Southampton fan, and they are very much in amongst the mix.

Look at it from the sellers point of view; its better to keep him to help stay in the league and get 5M in a tribunal than get less than 9M now.
Would he really add to our team though? Who would he replace in the current 11? To pay 9M as a back up to Kane? Would rather get someone who would get in the current 11 now. Honesty not sure how good he really is. Playing for Burnley and playing for Spurs is not the same, can he make the step up?

Agree but is he good enough to stand in for Kane? I haven't seen a lot of him so honestly don't know. Can he hold up the ball? Link up play as well as drive forward with the Ball like Kane is constantly doing at the moment? What if Kane gets injured ? Would be good for Kane to not play every match either as he could be burned out later in the season

Thats a ridiculous amount to pay for a player who is out of contract in 6 months. That's pretty much like saying he will be worth £30m. He looks a decent prospect but not £30m decent.
