Hoofharted on COYS:

Just a little snippet of info.

Have been told MJ wants JJ at Foolham, our (initial) asking price is to high, we should offer a BOGOF and throw in Bentley.

Can anyone really see JJ leaving ever? I still see him with us when he's old and grey, sitting on the bench with his zimmer beside him :unsure:

He'd be a fool not to want him. He was a good player under Jol. And he's a damn lot better than most on here think. Don't get me wrong, I've seen him be poor at times, but he does what he's told which can be quite a boon for a manager.

H'es had serious injury problems though, and knowing Levy he'll looking for a pretty penny....if I were Jol I would be casting my eye elsewhere for sure....much better value for money options out there.

Depends. Levy could probably sell him for what he bought him a decade ago and get his 2 million pound salary off the books.

Remember Le God was on Talksport the other day saying he hoped to be at Spurs in a couple of weeks.

I think it's Ginola.

good news either way, considering we need to free up squad places for AVB to shape the squad...

@Brasil_Spur

Thanks for the neg rep but the fact remains he is someone we badly need and with Newcastle supposedly sniffing around and the scum always in need of good defenders we need him signed sealed and delivered before someone steals him from under our noses

1.3 m to help get a world class cb is worth it if it means the deadlock being broken

Don't get your knickers in a twist mate, it's not neg rep it's disagreeing with you, hence why the button is called disagree.

I don't think we should be coughing up the extra money to the player or Ajax regardless of the fact we need him as it sets a bad precedent for us.

Luka thought he had a gentleman's agreement last year to leave if Chavs bid enough.
Therefore surely his agent cemented an agreement to leave this year if no CL?
Doubt it, there was no mention of any new contract being signed and so he's bound by the terms of his original agreement.

Also there's no such thing as a gentlemen's agreement really these days, a verbal agreement is as legally binding as a written one.

Jenas is like one of those players in Football Manager who you put in your reserves one week to recover some fitness and then forget about for 3 seasons.
