Been a lurker for a long time, mainly because I don't want A&C's banstick lodged up my rear end but I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the ITK's and the rest of you guys who post regularly on this thread, it's made a very difficult summer much more enjoyable and my beloved Spurs right now is the main thing keeping me this going. Thank You!!

I really think Igi's posted was interpreted the wrong way, I got the feeling it meant we have at least 1 that is far enough down the line to feel confident and then Breezer and Herc adding some niceness and Trix was positive this morning. There's literally 2 days left we might aswell wait and see because even Danny boy must be self aware to know the fans will not take kindly to losing our star cb and replacing him with a promising championship player.

I think that a large portion of ITK posts are interpreted the wrong way by a large portion of the people who post in this thread. Many seem to forget that our ITK posters are humans too, and that the information they receive is from other humans and so on... there is rarely enough common sense or calm applied to what they are saying.

For example, some people seem to be convinced that Toby is off despite a lack of recent ITK about him, yet are also convinced we won't sign anybody at all despite the ITK messages posted today. People misread the ITK, make an assumption based on that misreading and their own opinion and then post a knee-jerk comment about it. Ho hum, such is life!

My take on the ITK from today is that things are being looked at but there doesn't appear to be any target setting the roof on fire or any deal that is in the bag. Which would seem completely reasonable to me.

I worry how some on here cope in their day-to-day lives, given their reactions to potential disappointment on Thursday.

The club is playing the game on the edge. It's worked before and failed before. We can only hope it works here, but given all the twists and turns about the only thing we can say for sure is that we'll probably need a drink or two on Thursday night to calm our nerves whatever the outcome!

I have said everything I had to say on most. We just sit and wait. I was told who would be in, and who the outs are in a numerical sense. Let’s see...

It seems that we have a number we would like to go out yet there is still a chance we get an offer for a player after our window closes that the offer may be too good to turn down. I wouldn't say it's all calm after Thursday!
