Llorente could be waiting on the RVP outcome, to see who else would be interested in him, especially if he is after CL football. Depending on where RVP ends up, there could be Man U and Juve looking for a CF. we might be his fallback option.
Exactly. Which is why we're doing to Transfer Waltz :) I'd expect Ade to be done very quickly once we've seen which way the cards have fallen (if they fall unfavourably).

Absolutely Llorente > Adebayor!

I also urge people to view his performances against Man Utd in the Europa League last season for further proof of what he would bring to the table here.

A sensible enough theory, but i'm afraid I have to pour cold water on it (IMO of course) ;)

Naturally we cannot be certain wether we'll get Llorente or not but the fact remains, Adebayor isn't done when it really could/should have been by now and that isn't because of any magic thing like wages/fees/who pays what and all that. We knew all of that a loooong time ago. It is likely (IMO) that we won't get Llorente, but I really do think it is VERY likely that we've been stalling on Ade in the hope of getting another, more preferable option in.

When I see posts like this, I believe they are ones you will later refer to as hints for us that we are looking at someone else. On Sept 2 you'll point out occassions like today and say on 8 August I told you all this, we were actually close to getting X player at the time, but we were blown out of the water at the last minute and loan deal for Chamack was all we could muster at that late stage in the day.

There is a meeting with Modric and his representatives again today.

Now this is hard to explain and I don’t know how much authenticity can be placed on this. Consequently I class this as RUMOUR.
It is somewhat obvious that Moutinho is the favourable replacement for Modric. However I have been informed that Tottenham have made enquiries about Alex Witsel as an alternative option. As far as I’m aware it has not gone anywhere past an initial enquiry and I don’t know where he ranks on Tottenham’s transfer list.

I can see that, maybe thats why Madrid said they were interested in Witsel as an alternative to modric the other day, as they know we've enquired about him.

When I was 17 I convinced myself I would have a 12" cock................... shouldn't have done that.........now nearly 40 I'm clutching at the hope that I'll still get there!

I had a very similar issue regarding the 12" cock, but have now at the tender age of 44 resigned myself to the fact that the fucker aint shrinking anytime soon.

Irrespective of who we acquire to replace Modric, it really seems as we can´t count on money from the Modric sale to help us finance a move for a top striker. The names being bandled about are almost all very expensive options..

Do you mean Axel Witsel? Typo is fair enough, should imagine if this is anything to go by we heard the price and have gone looking for a more price effective replacement...

I don't see how JJ confimred llorente

He confirmed his wages similar to Ade, same age and potentially better. Let's not read into something that's not there as it will hurt later!

Why would anyone want to shrink their cock?

JJ said a few hours ago that Hud is Luka's replacement.

Massively massively crushingly disappointing, if true.

Let's hope DL pulls out the cheque book very soon. God forbid Defoe gets injured and we start the season with 1 striker (kane) on the books. It's actually rediculous considering we're now meant to be a top 4 club.

Listening to talkshite this morning. Everyone on there righting us off for top 4 and saying we will struggle with a top 5-6 finish. Unfortunately at this current time I agree :(

Even if we sign adebayor will he be match fit for Newcastle? Doubt it! If we sign leandro, will AVB straight away drop Defoe from the first team? Doubt it!

No matter what way we dress this transfer window it's going to be a difficult July-August IMO.

Seeing as I know some of you need both hands to find your arseholes............

Q: Llorente has seemingly become available.. wages similar to ade? same age? potentially better?
JJ: In answer to your questions yes, yes, yes.

Here is what I read into this. If we'd wanted to, Adebayor would have been tied up long ago. But whilst seducing Adebayor, we've also been sliding our hands up Llorente's skirt and we're receiving encouragement. So, the in the hope of getting a finger or two wet, we're seeing if we can do better. I reckon Leandro is coming and if we can't get Llorente or A.N Other in sharpish now, i'd expect Adebayor to be completed pretty quickly once we're told we've lost out.

;)

Look, everyone is talking like we need a direct like for like replacement for modric, i don't necessarily buy into this, fair enough if we play the same system and set out our midfield shape the same way perhaps we will require a top drawer replacement, although AVB may set the team up completely differently, which could negate a need for the deep sitting possession midfielder so the replacement may not be needed, giving us money to further reinforce in other areas

How did the consensus work that out?
Using common sense and a will not to take everything uttered by an ITK literally. At least i'm pretty sure that was the method employed. Personally i'd rather take it as bad news and run around waving my hands in the air screaming. And mincing.
