Well bugger me with a fishfork. Has it really been that long since the Summer Transfer Window closed? How time flies.

OK, so now we're back and although it's been pretty quiet so far on the ITK front i'm sure it'll soon start picking up although I am quite happy to predict that we'll not sign anyone in January. There is the possibility of Cahill I suppose.

Right, you all know the rules, although i'll repeat, PLEASE DO NOT POST TWITTER IN HERE, regardless of the supposed validity of the account.

Apologies for the delay, I would have opened this thread yesterday but I had an appointment at the Dentists for check up. I got called in and the man cupped my bollocks and told me to cough. "How do you feel?" He asked. "Like I need to change dentists mate." I replied.

OK, on with the show and how we'll roll. I'll do occasional updates until January, starting Jan 1st the thread will be updated daily.

I'm with A&C (not in a fishfork buggery sense though) in thinking that we won't sign anyone. I don't however agree that that's a good plan.

We really should be looking to get a back up for Ade, scratch that it should be a priority but than doesn't mean it will happen.

I think Cahill will be Chelsea bound, he'll walk into their first eleven and even by selling Bassong it would still seem him on the bench for us.

After the mayhem in here over the summer re big money signings which never materialised (no surprise there) .... we should see a fairly quiet January with only low fee/loans incoming.

A young goal keeper - would like to sign Krul and loan him back to Newcastle for a year or 2, until Friedel is ready to retire.

Quality cover for Bale/Lennon would be nice but not essential.

A striker is a must.

A new defender would be nice. I hear Vertonghen can cover right back, centre back and defensive midfield - would be an excellent signing and allow us to cash in on Bassong and possibly Corluka.
