I finally understand what people mean when they say drugs are bad for you

My comment was in response to someone else's remark re left backs to get excited about/possibly available.

My biggest concern in respect of the recent ITK is actually the fact that Poch wants to run his rule over the squad in training rather than base squad decisions on actual match performances over the last year or so (assuming he watched a lot of tapes over the summer since joining).

I can just imagine the likes of Lennon, Sigurdsson and worryingly Rose impressing greatly in training even though we know they have consistently flattered to deceive in games.

Hopefully he uses a combination of both training and tapes to fully assess the squad, and all the best targets aren't gone before we decide to make bids...

Surely one reason we are after Davies is because we can't afford to test a young player from abroad who's never played in this country and will take a season or two to get used to it like most of last years players

I happen to think it's very sensible. Who's to say he can't make some player out of siggy. We can't go sounded 15 mill on his replacement. We know he's talented. We've had two shocking managers since he was bought

The OGC Nice LB would be a very good buy imo. Young, cheap and with potential to be great. He could easily be one of the 3 Ali Z mentioned as West Ham wants him and maybe his agent offered him to us

If you're referring to Timothee Kolodziejczak, then yes, he would be a very good buy.
An exciting young LB, indeed.
I just compared his overall stats with those of Dodo, Kurzawa, Rodriguez, and Oczipka the other day;
and his numbers look pretty darn good, all things considering. (y)
Good choice @Ossie85 !

More on Lennon than anyone. Obviously an impressive trainer as he's been a bonafide starter for numerous managers but is not producing the output of a top PL player on a consistent basis. It's worth gauging how well they train but what matters is how they perform in WHL on a regular basis.

Ah Lennon has skills, you see.
Part way through training he'll flutter his eyelids at the coach or maybe bend over & show a bit of leg. Drives them wild.

That's why he keeps getting picked.

I don't know we're going to manage to spell Kolodziejczak if we can't even spell Erikson, Kabul, Friedel, Dafoe or Kranchar properly :cautious:
