Uh, Lilbaz the guys who ran the game called it Association Football, not soccer, it was (as best known) an Oxford student who called it soccer and guess what? He was a bonafide toff.

I wouldnt exactly call Alderweireld a "transfer coup." That term should be used for legit first XI players of real quality that no one would expect to come here. Alderweireld is simply another squad signing. The least impressive and glorious thing of what we've announced this week. Stadium, NFL, Bentaleb, Winks then Alderweireld would be the order.

Flying out to Spain with all this going on and snatching him from Southampton is a coup in my book. Maybe he won't work out, maybe he will be our best defender and a masterstroke, no idea until we see him. Baffles me how you can be so dismissive so soon.

Not sure if posted as some of it is from yesterday but here is a bit of a roundup. Trix on Coys re Adebayor and Lacazette.

"Tim wants Ade."

"Financials is one thing, Ade just generally being difficult is another. Might be easier once his stooges have been shifted though. Well if he gets a golden handshake that is. Not out of the question but with everything Ade it's far from straight forward."

Someone then blamed Ade on Harry to which trix replied with:

"He's not I am a big supporter of Levy and think he gets far too much grief on the whole, but Ade is down to him imo. Saw the chance of getting a Top drawer striker for very little transfer fee and didn't do the due diligence regarding everything else. I actually think Levy has learned a huge lesson from last season, thoigh, which we are beginning to benefit from this window."

on lacazette:

"No chance he is moving this window."

Chelsea have no place to fit a retractable pitch. Meaning they would face the same problems as wembley.

You know what they're like, building friggin' basements all over Chelsea!

Mind you, joking aside, there's probably so much underground stuff around there.

Hertyid re Fazio, Chiriches and Kaboul.

"Fazio not going anywhere but Kaboul and Vlad both available, I'm sure Levy desperate to find a mug to buy them."

@jetsetyid sorry to badger you after how much info you revealed yesterday but could you rate the chances of McCarthy happening out of 10?

@J7Shorthouse yes but I won't as whatever I say gets misinterpreted ! #COYS

Looks like JJ is annoyed about the stick he got over Toby. Which is annoying as there's nothing we can do to stop the abuse on Twitter whereas on here the mods can sort people out right away.

Strange thing is he was actually spot on about everything with Toby other than his judgement on how likely it was. Very clear he knew the situation.

Poch is Pooch (probably Snowy with all these Belgians around). Harry Kane is K-9.

If JJ is taking abuse that's pathetic.

He was spot on anyway - with hindsight.

Some will just not accept that negotiations are fluid and things change. JJ's record speaks for itself.
