Medicals usually take two days I thought
Some medicals involve MRI and other scans. I don't know how they decide if the player needs one or not. Maybe they look at the players past injuries. However I'm not sure if it extends the time frame of the medical.

Yeah it does
Some need more detailed cardiac assessments also. These are now more stringent in the wake of many players dying/collapsing due to arrhythmic problems.

I usually decide if they need an MRI by cupping their balls in one hand and poking my index finger in their bum-hole with the other. Pretty much all of them need MRIs...

I reckon, in my humble experience, that Spurs will wait for a PR opportunity moment to announce. Basically, we are getting a new prime minister tomorrow and I have long thought Spurs are experts at timing to maximise column or media inches. Most often when the top 6 PL announce there is literally nothing else happening in the news except daily chatter on some subject or other.

I reckon the euro players (loris i guess) will get more time off, and return end of the week.

Or, use the rise of Satan to PM to hide the signing of Andy booth on a free. A good day to bury bad news
