Nice to see Ings done. Now if McCarthy could just sign a new deal at Everton, Austin sign for Kingstonian, the universe would be properly aligned and we could get back to talking about great footballers we'll never sign.

With regards to Martial, it's the Bale window all over again. Big money signings we're in for, club that doesnt spend money, unless we know for sure we will make it all back. So long Hugo. It's been fun:(:(
Well, you are correct, we wouldn't look at spending 18M on one player unless money are surely coming in. But we may also have secured deals for several of the not-so-wanted-list. Chiriches, Kaboul, Capoue, Dembele, Lennon, Holtby, Soldado should easily be 40M+?:greedy:

No, don't take us bake to Schneiderlin once again.

Pssst... :cautious:

We are currently 100/1 for the win next season. Big win for a tenner if Poch gets it right next year.

always love the fact that the scousers are only about 20-1 and always above us in the betting even though they're an absolute shambles at the moment and got just as much chance as us.

Martial will cost about the same as Lloris, maybe more.

Gk fees are really deflated, so there will be no windfall for him (which works in our favour)

Big money signings?......Wimmer didn't exactly break the bank. Of the players we have been linked to Trippier, Ings (when we were in for him), Ayew and Linetty aren't exactly the types that would make us take out a new mortgage on the club.

Martial at ~£18m is a bit high, MS at ~£20m+ has been a year long saga and just as good a chance (if not a better chance) he goes elsewhere as he signs for us....and then who else has been legitimately linked by ITK or even the papers that would be a "big money" signing?

Or this will be our only significant signing, and all the rest will be cheap ones like Trippier (£2.5m) and Linetty (£4m).

That's just because the Scouse fans pile the money on wasted bets...

Was I imagining it or was there not talk of £30m available plus whatever we made from the outgoing fees? I'm confident enough we will splash some cash this summer. I've said before there may be some casualties along the way, but as long as it's for the greater good of the team and not wasted then I'm all for it.

If the only signing of significant value is a young forward to play back up for Kane, I'd say somebody must check their priorities.

Not really. Our 3 big problems this season were - Eriksen ran out of steam in February, Kane ran out of steam in February and Mason ran out of steam in February.

The signings of Prtichard (well return of), Martial and Alli solve our biggest problems, by giving us some cover for those roles.

Now we are venturing outside of the approved boundaries of this thread so I can't really reply, but I do disagree. ;)

Hugo may leave. I dont think any of us would begrudge him a move to Man Utd. He's been a great keeper for us, very dedicated, and deserves to play at the top level. We will be handsomely rewarded should he depart.
Bentaleb is going nowhere.

How many of these players have you watched regularly? We don't know if they can cut it in the Prem... Alli doesn't even have Championship experience. Yet you think they will solve our biggest problems? Lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Anyway back to ITK talk. I'm still struggling to see what experienced players we will sign. Looking at the current ITK, we have been linked with players from abroad who are also mainly young.

Our team is crying out for experienced leaders who are not afraid to talk on the pitch.

I'd begrudge it if he moved to United. Not sure where Hertyid gets that we wouldn't.

I can't see Levy selling to an English club, especially not the weakest of the top 4.

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest. We'll get top dollar, guaranteed with Levy, but for the love of God get it done swiftly so it doesn't turn into the saga of the summer, and more importantly, we can get on with getting our incoming business under way - as that should provide some additional funds for the needs we've identified.

Why on earth do we not simply sell Lloris directly to Real Madrid...

Because Real Madrid prefer Spanish players. They have problem pleasing their own demanding supporters so the spanish national goalkeeper is more "BOOM" than the Franch national goalkeeper...Unfortunately for us....
