Hi all

Long time member but don't post that often

Can anybody tell me what happened to POTL? I thought his itk was spot on. I know there was some fallout after the Willian saga but has he not posted any info since then?

It's full Whining Wednesday over a player that most didn't even desire at the club 12 hours ago, let alone knew much about. Log off for a few hours, have a pint with the lunch today, grow a couple of balls and come back in a higher level of harmony with self.

Seriously ? If you are serious you can't have been watching the fantastic team we now have with many amongst the most sort after players in the world. We have made so much progress and so much to look forward to as the players and the team continue to progress and mature.
We have had a great team, hopefully they'll continue on being so, despite having sold off one of that team (some rewriting history that 8 games for Trip means Walker wasn't a huge part of it), and then seeing others get crocked leaving our team extremely light and failing spectacularly thus far to reinforce the squad around that fantastic team, to the point where ITK's are as exasperated as the rest of us.

Seriously fuck this. Lesson have been learnt!! Fucking fuck off. Never been so uninspired for an opening day premier league ever.
Odd that your inspiration comes from spending a tonne of money as opposed to the football itself - the football is the most important bit and recently we've been quite good.

But that's not for here. Balde (who none of you thought was possible) is not coming. My question is therefore if you didn't think it was possible, how can you be annoyed that it isn't happening? You can't fault the ambition - and I completely disagree that signing anyone is preferable to signing the ones we want.

There's not a giant list of players that we can pick from. And the team harmony is delicate. I just don't get why the majority of you think this is so easy. And never will. Same every year.

Funny that people moan that lessons haven't been learnt when it's those exact people who expect us to act any differently than we have in the last 15 years - who hasn't been learning any lessons?

I doubt we will sign anyone aside from Barkley, and that will be a deadline day scramble at around 11pm. Somehow we will manage to scrape top four, or just miss out, and everyone will think we've had a good season. Come next June we will all be told that lessons have been learned and that Poch has been promised his key targets will be delivered. Then the same shit show will repeat itself.

Keep the toys in the pram people. If JJ hadn't alluded to it last night we would have been none the wiser at all,now people are coming out with 'we are embarrassing' etc. Happens in football all the time. Very disappointing yes as he looked like a player, but if he wants Juve and they have come in for him properly, well unfortunately they are one of those teams that are still above us in the pecking order - CL finalists just last year

The worst thing about this Keita Balde ITK is not the fact that the player chose another club over us (last year's league champions, CL finalists and based in the same country that he already lives in), it's the fact that it's given more ammo to the moaning children in our fanbase, most of whom likely had no idea who the player was in the first place. Classic.

I don't understand why people are bashing Levy in this case. Unless I've missed something we have no idea why have missed out on him. It could simply be that he has chosen another team (possibly Juve).

Come on, people were moaning about our lack of activity before hand. The fact that this has happened is just exacerbating the situation.

It's not the fact that we are missing out on Balde, it's the fact we seem to be so slow and lumbering in our dealings. You can't blame people for being unhappy about that. The fact remains we have weakened the squad by selling a first team player to a rival, and we are yet to replace him, or indeed add much needed depth to the squad in other areas.

The summer started with Poch saying he wanted any new players in before the tour. The season starts on Saturday.

Right, we're back.

If you want to bash Levy or the club or whatever over our transfer policy, take your pick out of the very many player threads available to you, which, if you hadn't realised it by now, are VERY lightly moderated, it isn't as if we ask you shut up and don't provide an alternate venue for it all.........
