Coentrao isn't really a Deadwood type player is he. Not really 'up and at em' enough.

Well is Isco an 'up and at em' type player? Because Sherwood tried to sign him and recommended him heavily to Levy & the committee. Just because Sherwood is English, it doesn't make him Harry Redknapp in disguise.

Money, first-team football? I know he's Portuguese but he wasn't one of AVB's Porto crew so he's not tied to him in the same was Hulk, Pereira or Moutinho were.

Pereira. Thank fuck that link won't be around anymore. Awful player.

Edit: Not a big Hulk fan either.

I see that after a disappointing game we have some friendly fire going on ... again!! Lets just put this one out there and move on shall we .... Arsenal were better than us yesterday .... Rose cocking up on the halfway line is just a convenient peg to hang a) your hat on and b) him out to dry. We are, like a lot of the prem this year, not as good as the arsenal. Really cant understand all these posters having such a pissy fit about it ....

I don't care for the 'rose is shit', or 'bae v rose' debate, I just want us to get another lb in. And we just happen to have one out on loan atm, one with pl experience and one who knows the club.

If/when rose gets injured again what we gonna do, stick verty back out there? Stupido!

This is a fair point, which is why it makes sense to bring BAE back from loan. As far as Rose and BAE go, I'm not sold on either to be honest, they both have huge flaws, but we need cover and I doubt we'll get in any other left back in this window. Perhaps bringing BAE back will push Rose to perform better anyway.

Well, ITK-wise SO is quiet, i'm not on FTL and I got the heave-ho from COYS.
My pimp ain't gonna be happy.

With Archibald pretty much retired, can we expect anything from SO? (Yes, I know there's Jasper…) BEN seems to be out of the loop, Noodles too, and who's on COYS these days other than Ali Z?

I really don't expect much to happen anyway. Sherwood and Baldini are going to have to do some heroic grovelling to persuade Levy to shell out big bucks after he's spent £160m on the Bearded Wonder.

Lets hope Levy learned from last window when he fucked up and refused to buy a striker when we clearly needed one and it cost us top 4. Do I seriously think he has? Fuck no. He spent 110 mill in the summer(no he didnt but he thinks he did). This is Daniel Levy we are talking about. Guy is stingy as fuck. No chance in hell are we making a move.

You do realise that we can only spend money that we have or can generate through sales?
Uncle joe isn't going to bung us a few quid and our credit limit is stretched due to the training ground and stadium.
If it's so easy to find £25m for a new striker could you please let me know how as i'd like to retire.

You're right. He only gave me £600k when I asked for more transfer money in Football Manager. :(

We signed Soldado, didn't we? And Ade the summer before? We've spent £160m in three windows, FFS. Or do you think we should be spending millions we don't actually have?

First rule of Tottenham January transfers:

If you, a fan, have identified a weakness within the squad, rest assured, the chairman disagrees.

Our sales have been balancing the additions. We spent 10m last summer actually.

Im sure Lewis can buck up £20m or so this window. Just like Levy probably can. They wont though.
