Can’t believe some of you still have feelings on the striker things.

I became numb to it 2 or 3 transfer windows ago.

Wonder is Levy will regret that £40m for Adama. Could quite easily be the difference between a good push and top 4 and a scramble for 6th

I, for one, am highly satisfied with this transfer window. Not spurfect, but pretty spurrific nonetheless, and I love the fact that I can post in here to share my thoughts with you.

Since when is £40m cash a little amount of money. The way some of you are going on is like it's pocket change. Forget the pandemic, and the threat of possible future lockdowns still, forget the loan we had to pay back, Levy just pay the £40m.

I think the majority would agree 40M is a lot of money, they key info regarding the fee is whether its £40M up Front or £30M upfront for example or is it £40M spread over 4 years or the term of the contract. If its the latter its not that much in relative terms for football and general practice within the game/industry but the majority upfront is a silly amount.

Same old shit. Lessons have been learnt, its a buyers market across Europe, Levy is not interfering with transfer dealings.

Its fucking mindboggling that yet again we fail to sign a back up for Harry. No creative midfielder will hamper us across the course of the season as well.

One very good CB and a bunch of promising young players is not enough to compete for top four.

We’re just lucky he stayed mate otherwise we’d have son leading the line and playing left wing at the same time in both the prem and conference league. Fuck knows the boy would’ve done it as well. Absolute legend.

I've still this weird feeling that we are going to hijack a deal that some other club have lined up :X3: ?
That would be lovely.
But not a chance.

Though typical me after reading this overoptimistic post to notice Antoine Griezmann is moving from Baraca to AM it seems... Pfth. Seems I am a masochist...

And they wanted it upfront £40m is over half what City were prepared to give us upfront for Kane

honestly think the reason i’m not disappointed is because deep down i expected it all along. we’re always 1 or 2 players away and we never push on. it’s the same every window.

oh well. up the spurs, coys and all that. have a good night everyone

Ah, thx. I must had missed that one and I can see why the increased DL aggro.

For me, I don't take each quote so literally, Chinese whispers, were they actually in the room, bias, etc.

My thought would be that I agree that DL would be a newb of the newest proportions IF he knew nothing about coding and overule a team of top coders that he hired due to his hunch of making the code run faster.

However, imo Spurs has been run quite intelligently at least in terms of business and even footballing performance in relationship to our current financial position. Therefore I have a hard time believing that the full story is Levy rejecting the deal because he thinks we create enough chances. Just seems a bit thick to me and simple.

It's not even that, it's all the commerical deals (stadium naming, etc) that rely on us being a CL club.

Does that mean the good news we were told would be forthcoming on that front after the window closed is also now not happening.

One of my mates is a Watford fan. He sent a WhatsApp message group I’m on saying our ground was magnificent. A Chelsea fan replied saying the best in the premier league. My question to all the levy supporters justifying his failure again to fully back our manager is what is the point in putting our club into such debt if you are not going to find a fully competitive playing squad? Seriously what is the point? What are we actually trying to do here as a project.
Hey mate, the pandemic interrupted his plans - NFL, rugby, boxing, music gigs. The stadium's amazing and one day it'll have a mega team for it. For now, it's hard work at the training ground. Good luck Nuno!

I'm not too disappointed with the window to be honest, we got some very talented young players in and sold a few players we needed rid of. I think it's a solid job.

I actually feel the same. My only disappointment is we didn't do more, when we could have. Oh well. COYS

Dont forget what was also mentioned that DL refused to sell Bergwijn so probably the net spend on Traore would be 20 milions.
Yes but wolves wanted most of it up front in cash. Whoever wanted Stevie wouldn't have given us most of it up front.
