I agree in principle, but this is the one player Nuno has asked for. We have to do what we can to get him based on that alone imo.

After the Kane shit show and getting us top of the league - Nuno deserves to be backed with Traore if that’s the one he really wants.

After the Kane fiasco, it would be hypocritical of us to whinge if we don’t pay what Wolves want. If we really want Traore, pay the money.

I think it's justifiable to pay £50m for Traore. We should be able to make it back and if he suddenly gets 10-15 assists now that he's feeding Son and Kane, we could sell him for twice or even thrice that. The question for me is if we have that money.

Not fussed if we don't get Traore rather save that 50m and put it towards a better player
But who, and when? I don't mind if we pay over the odds to get the manager a player he wants.

If it were £50m for Traore or £30m for someon as good, but not as famous/good/prem proven then I might be with you, but if it is £50m for Traore or £0 for noone I'm going with Traore.

This was the other bit to go with @L-man's post. Ryan responded to JJ saying Big Call.

Not criticising the info but I just can't see wolves letting him go on deadline day. Happy to be proven wrong.
With Mendes supplying most of Wolves players, anything is possible. He got his clients Jota and Doherty sold last season and they were replaced with other Mendes clients (Semedo & Fabio Silva).

He makes commission on incoming and outgoing transfers.

Cannot see anything in the Neves rumours. No way we sign the 2 best players for £30m+ from the same team on deadline day. Wolves would be absolutely mad to do that and I don't think we could afford it.

Dreaming for a second. Neves is exactly what we are missing in midfield! A deep lying playmaker who transitions the ball forward.

Danny Ings went for 25M I know his wages were beyond what we were willing to pay By Traore at £50M with 2 years left on his contract, that's a big oblige for the manager. Also, I don't really believe we should oblige managers, Players out last managers, So If Nuno is gone in the future we still have Traore.

Do clubs really pay cash for players, or do they just take out a loan secured against the value of the player?

Ings is 29, though. There's very little resale value if any at all.

Great news that we are talking again this morning with Wolves about Traore. Hard to know whether they are just posturing to get more cash or whether they really feel there's substantial risk they'll go down without him. Having already bought a WF it seems like the former

Assume we have offered some realistic add-ons like x £m if we get Champions League during his contract. Is there not a player they might be interested in. I think they'd laugh if we offered Doherty back. Maybe Sessegnon would go there on loan. Difficult to see him getting any premiership minutes here

I suppose if they really are worried about relegation then the other possibility is that we go back in for him in Jan if they are comfortable in mid-table.
