Yes, but probably not out of choice. As he'll have no other option but to.

Scarlett really struggled against a mid-table Portuguese side - he's not ready yet IMO.

1) 5th isnt mid table.
2) He didn't struggle. He got no service. I don't mean poor service, I mean NONE. Put him in a stronger team and he'll be fine, imo.

Emerson is a brilliant signing stop worrying about how many fricking right backs we have. If Aurier doesn’t leave then he doesn’t play simple. Emerson improves the first 11 without a doubt

*Throws Grenade*

Tottenham are not expected to sign a new striker on transfer deadline day while moves for Wolves Adama Traore or Ruben Neves are deemed unlikely, football.london understands.

If there was ever a day when the club were going to use Ally Gold as a club mouthpiece today would be it.

you what

If Aurier isn't leaving I'd kind of rather we just re-integrated him then spent the Emerson money elsewhere (a creative playmaker and bumping up the money for Adama).
Squad building can't be done in one window. Aurier and Doherty may not leave this window, but once they drop further down the pecking order they will look to move on in future windows. We need to bring in fresh talent like Emerson whenever the opportunities present themselves.

1) Yes they are, 9th in the Portuguese league - that's about as midtable as you can get...
2) He is a 17-year-old kid and was getting bullied by fully grown men - it's unfair/not wise to put pressure on him being a backup for a team chasing champions league football.

There was no 4 RBs when this season started. Tanganga sees himself as CB. He just took his opportunity at RB when it was presented with. So, talking as if this was planned from day1 by Nuno & Paratici is nonsense.

Nuno never had Aurier in his plans. So, got Emerson in.

Aurier is the extra RB and he will be one to get the cull if he doesnt move. Tanganga will be the filler in RB & CB over the season. Its on Aurier to sort his move out in 12 hrs

Are people really moaning that we signed a first choice RB?

Who cares how many we have in the squad. Aurier is gone either today or next window, Doherty is woeful and Tanganga is raw/ also a CB/ is defensive.

So they just asked ex keeper David James on sky what he thinks of Tottenham’s potential new signings , and he said:

“Emerson is slightly older then Spurs are use to at 27 , (he’s 22), and Adama would be a great player for Arsenal to feed balls to Laca”!!!

I kid u not, how is he being paid for that insight!

Mate are you seriously using their current position (8th btw) after 4 games as what to define them as? By that logic we are champions elect right? Come on dude you are better than that.

I didn't see him get bullied at all. I saw him making run after run and the team behind him that had never played together before couldn't get a single decent ball into him.

With all due respect to Ali Gold as he is a good journo. He also said emerson wouldn't be signed unless Doherty and/or aurier were sold. He then stood firm on this when someone challenged him as it looked like Emerson was coming in

I don't get this 4 rb whinging.

Tanganga was seen more of a development player before this season and most of us know what Doherty and Serge are like. I actually think RB was a priority signing.

However would love 1 more in midfield and then possibly 1 more up front.
