I think this Batshuayi stuff will come down to how desperate Chelsea are to move him on. If Batshuayi is refusing to move to anywhere but us, and we’re refusing to buy him for £40m, Chelsea will have to cave in or keep an unhappy player in an already poisonous dressing room.

Don’t think they really care about that stuff though do they?

If we sign Batshuayi - it will be with an eye towards the long-term, not short-term.

There is a decent chance Kane will score for Spurs before Batshuayi - even if we signed him today.

I'm not fussed about Batshauyi, I really wanted him before but he chose Chelsea(money) and his career has stagnated other than a 6 month loan since. He could have played under Poch and would have been perfect foil to Kane so I'd rather we didn't bend over backwards for him as he was happy to be pointless at Chelsea.

I actually reckon they'd sell him to us for a reasonable fee in a world of FFP. What's the point of them keeping him on 150k a week plus? Might as well cash in now so Sarri has money to spend in the summer.
