Hulk doesn't strike me as a 'jaw dropping' signing. A good player, over-hyped because he is called hulk, but proven to excel in Avb's system and philosophy so I'd be pleased if we could get a good deal

And I can see benny to qpr, he wouldn't have to ship his ridiculous collection of Jordan's. And I can only imagine Carroll on loan must be a sweetner to another deal as I'd imagine pl clubs would be interested

..and usually it matters.

Moutinho, Damaio, Levy's wheelbarrow.
Just to name a few. We have 'failed' many times, for every VDV there were Saha and Nelsen.

Today: doesn't matter. We have 'learnt lessons' and 'got business done early' ;)

To be honest I'm still hoping for some additions, call me crazy, greedy, or impatient - but we know there is still a lot of money available. In any case, I wouldn't mind if we didn't sign anybody more - as long as we are sensible in forthcoming windows, always trying for the upgrade. I am still admittedly smarting from Bale's departure and seeing his sunny smily pictures in Madrid.

Why do we need another forward who plays on the right? Lamela, Lennon Townsend. There are other areas we need more depth before Hulk.

just heard were in for hulk but zenit aren't going to let him go cheap

no info on how far negotiations are it was a quick update from a mate

Hulk was the only player i could think of that would be "jaw dropping" at £45m mark - and in a position we are likely to want. Benzema makes no sense to me as we only play one up front in the middle and we won't have Benzema or Soldado on the bench at those prices. Hulk however could play right across the front with Soldado and Lemala or Townsend. Doubtful we could make it happen today and i would think he's on rediculous wages at Zenit but it would be pretty exciting if we could.

So who will we sign today? NOBODY

Not sure if someone has posted this already, but Nemo is nobody in Latin, and Ozil is nicknamed Nemo at Real. Could be the cryptic referred to by the goat?

Benzema can play wide attack and has done for Real Madrid plenty of times (with Ronaldo centre forward)

I don't see why people don't think Benoit would move to QPR. He's consistently stated that football is just a job to him. He gets on well with Harry, he gets to stay in London, probably on good wages too. Why not?

I'm a bit concerned that there has been no ITK on a Goalkeeper. If Lloris gets injured in one of his out the area tackles Brad won't be able to play the same way. Our defence will have to play closer to Brad and not so far up the pitch. Perhaps that may not be a bad thing!

Eriksen is absolute class. I agree with you but feel we need more creativity than just him & Lamela.

Tbh him, Lamela, Holtby, Chadli, Townsend, Lennon, Siggy, Paulinho and Dembele should be able to create more than enough. Another 2nd striker and a LB that can both attack and defend much much more urgent..

Hulk is an upgrade on Lennon and Townsend plus he scores goals. I think he is more of a disciplined team player as well which is why he gets so many games for Brazil. He is a good option for the right deal. Still I can't get the crazy suggestion of Lewandowski out of my mind. If only...

Yep not to mention avoiding moving his massive collection of cars and garage, can't see him turning it down if he gets to play and not move

Nethier one of three of Ozil, Benzema and Coentrao will leaving Real during this window.

Ozil and Coentrao has both made statements to that effect and Benzema is the only recognized senior striker in the Real squad.

KA-CHING $$$$$$$$$$$£££££££££££££

If we spend on Ince, he's coming to play straight off.

Otherwise we'd pick him up for £3m in Jan.

His best position where he scores his goals is Lamela's position on the right.

Even if we sold both Townsend and Lennon, which would be odd - why come to be 2nd choice to Lamela?

Right, I'm making a cup of tea.

Rob will hate me for doing this, but this thread is going ridiculously.

Read the rules, and I'll open it up again.

I mean it. READ THE RULES.

Do you know the best thing you all can do today:

Before posting, stop. Think about what you're posting. Is is important? Does it matter? Is it going to enhance, inspire and inform? If the answer is no, just stop and cancel your post. People are coming in here for key information and news. Fannying about doesn't help anyone. There's plenty of time for it tomorrow, but the next 12 hours is Sensible-ville.

So: stop, look, listen, and then, only if it's safe to do so and you're not making a **** of yourself... post.

It's a bit Green Cross Code, but A&C makes a supremely frightening Green Cross Code Man. And the last thing you want is to be exposed to his lollipop.
