Are people really bitching after the window we've just had, having smashed our transfer record 3 times?

Yes a couple extra would have been nice but well done all.

I'm a relatively new SC member. Really hoping this goes back to normal now hahaha. The last few days have been shocking.

I'm sure plenty will disagree with me but I think it's great that we've kept Adebayor, Townsend, Lennon, and Siggy. I thought all four might be sold.

I know I shouldn't be disappointed with this window. We've bought prime talent and one of my favourite players in Capoue, but the Özil deal is just such a big anti-climax.

Hopefully the dust will settle soon enough and we'll all be able to see what a great squad we've got now.

Can't wait for the next game, just want to get the season started and see the likes of Lamela, Eriksen, Soldado and Paulinho work their magic.

I'm happy about our TW, but we had a net spend of less than 10m. Even Cardiff spent more than that. We def have money to spend

I agree, we have had a very good window on the whole but we are still lacking IMO. Essentially we are relying on two 21 year olds and one 24 year old to create this season, two of which are untested in a top league save some European games. Its a bit of a gamble. On top of that we lost our biggest player, our superstar. I think we have a lot to offer but i would have liked to see a few more players to cement our attack on the top four. At the moment i dont see us being a shoe-in for top four. We have done a very good job with the window, just with the Bale sale, a yard short in my eyes.

Chill ladies and gents, we spent big and strengthened the squad. This net spend talk is stupid, we have shown ambition in our purchases and shrewdness in our sales. That is good business. So what if we have TV money etc left over, you can bet our wage bill has grown plus we are about to embark on a major stadium project so money is needed elsewhere. This season may stutter a little at times but the players we have brought in are all 21-25 except soldado so the future is bright. Night all

Quick question, what would everyone be saying if we hadn't bought all those players and sold bale earlier, surely it would be spend the bale money, not spend the bale money and £20m more, oh and also spend the £30m tv money, I want 10 players and £140m spent, seriously don't bother

Cool with everything except another LB. Even a back up would have been nice. Looks like Naughton could get some time there again.

A net spend, shifted Parker and Hud, 7 class players in, and cash left over to put towards our shiny new stadium.
A great bit of business I'd say.

I am glad that's over Disappointed that we never got a LB or a LWF. However I am hoping that by the time the 14th comes round AVB will have sorted out the team and they will start to gel. I hate losing to the scum, but 1-0 is not a disaster. Come the return game at home we will show them. COYS.
