Just hope we are not just becoming a team of big athletic players who can all run marathons, run through brick walls but not have the football brains and skills to break down packed defences

ali z on sissoko: Right facts this is not a panic buy - we agreed terms yesterday with the player, Poch wanted him as well as Isco/Coric both turned us down.

Mane we would never pay the reputed 150 k plus he gets at Liverpool, would cause turmoil in the dressing room.

I hate the way we did the deal playing games with clubs, not the payments that were the issue just the amount.

In addition I think some very harsh comments on here about him.

Some years ago, Aston Villa agreed to purchase Darren Bent from Sunderland for 24m pounds. Liverpool paid 35m for Andy Carroll, Chelsea paid 50m for Torres, Liverpool paid 25m for Wijnaldum....If Poch wanted him, that's good enough for me

Let's hope but as he is only 17 unless he is a Pele, Best or Maradona I think we have a few years to wait for an impact. Glad though to have him in the squad as he makes sense to me but with Wanyama already bought I am not sure what Sissoko adds. Edwards. And Winks are the great hopes but we really could have done with a creative ... not just fast ... AM
