Been trying to stay optimistic but hard to do that at this point.

I've defended levy constantly over the years. he clearly has some flaws, but has moved the club on significantly, consistently and is just about to deliver a world class stadium. this window cannot be defended, though. we've cemented our position as a CL team and unless a miracle happens, won't be signing anyone at, or near to, that level.

We should do it - we have had great success hijacking Everton deals....

I think I'd rather us do a couple of decent season long loans which we can offload if don't work out rather than mess around with £15m signings. No one who can make an immediate impact in the starting XI is going to arrive for £15m
