Who really cares if he costs us £20m or £5m? Not like you will have to give up your last pint at the pub for it.

i haven't really seen anything of willian but if avb thinks he's a player that will fit well here and do a good job then i'm fully behind it.

I don't know that he would, but even still, Levy isn't crushing his record transfer fee for a winger like Willian. He's barely willing to do it for Brazil's no. 9
Lol @ disagreeing with this without stating your case. Don't be a pussy, Francis. Have a voice.

There is a small difference here. Modric was already an established star, and when we bought him he was already an established national for Croatia. He also had a better goalscoring record in Croatia than what Willian has in Ukraine.

Willian has a grand total of 2 appearances for Brazil, a team in which almost anyone with a Brazilian passport is allowed to try out for. If he was worth £20 million I'd expect him to get a couple more matches, really.

I'm not saying we shouldn't buy him, I'm just saying we'd be mad to spend 20 million on him.

Why do you care how much we spend on him? It isn't your money.

I don't even know where to begin with this..

Please do try. We don't get paid to manage the accounts of the club. We are in good hands and I don't think we need to worry about how much players cost. Some people get a hard on because we buy a good player for cheap when others pay £20m. Why should we care, I just want to see my Spurs play good football.

Why all this panic about us spending big money on someone who plays in Ukraine? Think you should remember the last time we broke our transfer record for a player in the Ukraine. Yeah that's right Rebrov. Suck on that and eat your words.

In all seriousness I'm excited by the prospect of Willian coming. Think people should reserve judgement until they have seen him.

Exactly, you'd think half these people hadn't even watched him when he played against us!

I do not believe for one nano second that we will be paying 20m for Willian (and by the way, who calls their fucking kid Willian ?)

Get real people. We've negotiated for two years to get a sub 20m deal on Brazils current no.9, you think we are going to go and buy a part timer from the back of beyond for 20m ? Come on, bring your brains to the game. I bet we offered half that for Oscar and he's good.

Let me put it this way, we'd be smashing our transfer record for a player that isn't even close to the Brazil first eleven. We'd be spending 12 million MORE on Willian than what we spent on Sandro.

Money that could be spent on a good striker or a Modric replacement. I don't know if you think the club can just conjure up money when the coffers are empty, but I know better than that.

Apart from Eduardo of course who has one and plays for Croatia. I'ts not so easy to get caps on the wing for Brazil believe me. There is a huge list of players around the world who take up other nationalities because they can't get near the Brazil team (Sena, Deco, Pepe to name a few) I have to be honest I have only seen him play a few times have always been impressed. Will reserve judgement until I have seen him in the premier league hope it works out.

Respect your opinion just don't agree.

Umm..

1. Because its the Internet and we all try to be heard.
2. Because of club history, which leads into point 3
3. Because we have multiple holes to fill and the guy filling those spots is notoriously stingy
4. Because we're not City, Chelsea, etc. If we were, you'd not have anyone disagreeing with you

Says who? Someone from Shaktar? Have you ever thought that lying about something like that might benefit them?
The owner said £25million but Willain said they rejected the £20million bid and that he would like to go to the CL champions

Are suggesting it's easier to be Brazilian international than a croation international?

Well that is what will happen if we throw money around, don't you agree? We're not generating profit, which means that if we start throwing millions away on players that are going to play second string we will quickly be deep in debt.

I guess this exactly what Leeds fans were saying on Leeds Community a few years back. "Who gives a fooking fook if we spend millions over the odds on fees and wages for people like Seth Johnson" I just want the best.

Or maybe try the Glasgow Rangers forum at the moment.

We should all care because chairman do get shit like this wrong all the time and it's us fans that end up paying for and watching the shit that's left.

Oh, look, I just found a really fucking huge reason for signing Will.i.an (apart from wanting that on my shirt):

AVB has been hired to turn the team around and wants to sign him and Levy is prepared to pay for him.*

*according to ITK and taking into account that Levy is prepared to pay whatever change he has in his left trouser pocket rather than whatever figure anyone else may have in mind.
