Who really cares if he costs us £20m or £5m? Not like you will have to give up your last pint at the pub for it.
Lol @ disagreeing with this without stating your case. Don't be a pussy, Francis. Have a voice.I don't know that he would, but even still, Levy isn't crushing his record transfer fee for a winger like Willian. He's barely willing to do it for Brazil's no. 9
There is a small difference here. Modric was already an established star, and when we bought him he was already an established national for Croatia. He also had a better goalscoring record in Croatia than what Willian has in Ukraine.
Willian has a grand total of 2 appearances for Brazil, a team in which almost anyone with a Brazilian passport is allowed to try out for. If he was worth £20 million I'd expect him to get a couple more matches, really.
I'm not saying we shouldn't buy him, I'm just saying we'd be mad to spend 20 million on him.
I don't even know where to begin with this..
Why all this panic about us spending big money on someone who plays in Ukraine? Think you should remember the last time we broke our transfer record for a player in the Ukraine. Yeah that's right Rebrov. Suck on that and eat your words.
In all seriousness I'm excited by the prospect of Willian coming. Think people should reserve judgement until they have seen him.
Chelsea made a £20million bid earlier and it got rejected
Please do try. We don't get paid to manage the accounts of the club. We are in good hands and I don't think we need to worry about how much players cost. Some people get a hard on because we buy a good player for cheap when others pay £20m. Why should we care, I just want to see my Spurs play good football.

Let me put it this way, we'd be smashing our transfer record for a player that isn't even close to the Brazil first eleven. We'd be spending 12 million MORE on Willian than what we spent on Sandro.
Money that could be spent on a good striker or a Modric replacement. I don't know if you think the club can just conjure up money when the coffers are empty, but I know better than that.
The owner said £25million but Willain said they rejected the £20million bid and that he would like to go to the CL championsSays who? Someone from Shaktar? Have you ever thought that lying about something like that might benefit them?

Oh, look, I just found a really fucking huge reason for signing Will.i.an (apart from wanting that on my shirt):Let me put it this way, we'd be smashing our transfer record for a player that isn't even close to the Brazil first eleven.
