But it's not just at spurs, if ndom was all that then Napoli would want to keep him, his underlying issues are too great to be resolved imo.
I’m not giving an opinion of him myself, I’m saying if Ange wants him (and he both knows more about football than you or I and will see far more of Ndombele) then I’m fine with it. If he doesn’t want him then I’m fine with that too

Considering how hard Ange wants players to work, it's hard to see what he could do to get Ndom to break a sweat, think he may be getting encouragement from Levy & co to persist as it looks like we cannot get rid.

Exactly. Hence his huge mistake in the champs league which was nothing to do with laziness just failed to control a simply ball.

Not cynical in my opinion. We are alll (well, most of us) only too aware of Levy's MO.
Maybe - but I interpret that ITK a bit more positively.

We’ve been crying out for a manager who can make the most of the talent we have. We can look at it glass half empty if you like and assume Ange has only been appointed because he’ll tow the line when we don’t spend money.

But another way to look at it is that we’ve got a good coach who believes there’s more to come from the squad.

Moreover, it doesn’t need to be mutually exclusive from investing in the squad, and the noise there seems broadly sensible. Will it come to pass? Let’s see. But I look at it positively.

I don't know why anyone worries about players getting another chance. Ange isn't going to pick anyone who doesn't impress at the end of the day. So what if someone we wrote off ends up proving us wrong? All that matters is we have a squad Ange is happy with. We have a massive squad and only the best will make the cut. Ange is no mug.

Because we'd be better off selling the crap rather than keeping them for another season for yet another manager to assess.

So you ignore what I said about Ange not picking them if they don't impress? If they're crap as you say then they'll be sold simple.

Prof's ITK is interesting and I don't think we need to shit the bed about the need to improve what we have as well as new players/departures

There are players who have underperformed, not settled/jumped into the first XI who still have potential (Gil, Reguilon....at a stretch Lo Celso)

I don't think we need to panic from this ITK that Ange will be desperate to reintegrate Winks and Sanchez. Its my view that both are toast and out the door.

As for Ndombele - god knows, but he will be very quickly rumbled in training IMO.

Yeah it’s not a bad thing that the manager is eager to improve his players. That‘s what top coaches do.

Unfortunately Ange isn't the only manager who would be able to see how crap they are, so selling won't be simple.

Then we loan them just as we did under Conte. The manager isn't going to keep players he doesn't want around.

Prof on COYS:

Not only working on gk and mid. Initial list of cb targets cut down to those approved by Ange. Two approaches made so far - one young and promising, the other a little older and more experienced. If they seem doable we’ll negotiate. If not we’ll move on. Would like 3 new defenders for the squad - number depends on outgoings. Ange bullish he can coach up some of our youngsters and a few of our under performers which is music to the boss’s ears. Lol
I know some will criticise that we might end up keeping certain players but I think overall it’s good if Ange thinks he can coach up ‘some’ of our youngsters and ‘a few’ of our underperformers as frankly Jose and Conte especially made it very difficult for certain players to be able to thrive in such rigid defensive counter attacking tactics.

The update also states we are making moves on a number of different incomings so overall that seems to be a nice balance, bring a good 5-6 in and coach up some youngsters and ‘underperformers’ and then get rid of a ton of players to slim down the squad.

Happy days.

So their chance lasts a few days?
Oh yeah I forgot the window closes a few days into pre season or the season starts a few days after pre season. It doesn't take long to determine if a player has the fundamentals. A month of pre season ahead of the start of the season is plenty for him to decide. Why do people think they know better than the manager?
