If it's true that we actually really want to sign LD, and have genuinely put bids in, it absolutely beggars belief that we're trying to wrap up what has been described by everyone and his dog as a "very difficult deal" on the last day of the bloody transfer window.

I'm a big Levy fan, and obviously the vast majority of us have no idea what's actually going on inside the club, but there's been too much info about our interest in LD for it all to be wrong, IMHO. At the end of the day, we are (these days) a regular top 4/5 side and - apparently - were minutes away from paying around £20m for Moutinho in the summer, so money is there for the right player.

Apologies for the moan but strikers are expensive for a reason, and if we want to be a CL regular and challenging for the title - which is a real prospect with a few additions - then at some point we're going to have to pay the going rate for a top, top striker.

Story seems to be that they contacted us not sure whether that was yesterday or today so no progress could be made before then

I'll add half again to any pledges for the incomings column in my sig. £1 for every million spent for any player not on my list.

Damiao, who has 14 caps for Brazil, caught the eye as he finished top scorer in the 2012 Olympic Games with six goals but then struggled for form and fitness during the Brazilian domestic season last year.

This isn't strictly true. They play so many competitions, he ended up with a decent return.

24 goals from 43 games (38 in 51 the season before). 7 in 19 league games, compared to 14 in 28 the year before. Less games, less goals.

If we come close and don't sign him It'll pretty much convince me that Levy is fucking with us and has no intention of spending big cash on anyone.

There's only so many times you can get your 'wheelbarrow of cash' out on deadline day without spending before people start to call bullshit.

Gary Cotteril just as annoying in Milan as he used to be at the Lodge.

Gayorm Balbaggy calls us Tottenham Spurs. Huanker.

If Leandro signs I'll bang another £10er in.

so.. this is my umpteenth window.. was dead certain that all ITKs were all ITK and that adeif was right and we would score a brazilian #9.. and then past 2 windows of LD...

and Now? just had my 5th order at starbucks, and we are still 7 hours from levy time. when will i learn?

So ValYid, Rebrab, Grey Fox and Ryan all seemed dead certain about a striker in, regardless.

ILIT.

COYS!

Donated 10USD, It believe it came out to 6.66GBP after paypal tax. If the servers crash, I'm at fault :(

Dude. What are you doing? You always report in pounds. Makes you look so much better.

It's, look I just gave 50 :pompous:

That looks awesome because they will assume sterling. But if you convert it for them that 50 becomes

I bought Rob a Kit Kat

Stupid devalued currency :(

:D But kudos for the donation.
