No one leaving. Alli coming and going. That's all thats going on today. We all know it. The optimism can stop now.
Do you mind? I'm trying to generate a lorryfull of optimism here to raise some money and you march in and give it all that. Old KG III should never have given you colonial peasants your freedom.

I even played the Anne Hegarty card……...:cautious:

It's probably the first transfer window which doesn't bother me if we make a signing or not. We have a decent squad as it stands. If Lennon and Ade stay, so be it.

What happens if Kane picked up quite a serious injury?

I'd be happy with the squad to if someone could guarantee me that Kane will see out the season no problem. But if he gets injured the whole landscape changes dramatically for us.

Well, there was one saying that we would consider letting Ade go even if we couldn't replace him. Which is fine by me.

Update 51 almost sums up my gut feeling.
Kaboul will go, Ade fingers crossed, Lennon no idea is what it feels like to me.

And if Kane gets injured and we're left with one striker (who can't score in a brothel) , will you be just be saying how unlucky we are and using expressions like hindsight?

I know Chadli could operate as an emergency striker in the same way Kyle Walker "could" operate as a winger or Capoue "could" play CB. Question is do we really want them too when important games come around?

I know I keep banging on about this, but I just don't understand why some people hate Ade that much that they would be happy to just have 2 strikers in the squad (one of whom can't bloody score).

If it makes you feel better, in reality, there are only a bit more than 3,5 months left of the season.

I'm fortunate enough to have lost my job just before deadline day. Can now sit on here all day. As a result, just made a small donation of taxpayers money.

Not expecting or wanting much. Though I would like a replacement if a striker leaves.

No, actually I won't. I don't see the difference between 1 or 2 strikers who can't score (looking at current season only). We are not strong with Ade. We'll just have more (unhappy?) players. Yes, I'd rather deploy Chadli than Adebayor any day of the week, vs any opponent.

Aaron Lennon must feel like I did when out on the pull. Lots of attention, but only from butters girls.

Going by that logic expect Lennon to cop off with Leicester City when the lights go up. Then wake up tomorrow with huge regret.

Yeah the business end, where defining games are coming thick and fast.

So it doesn't make me feel much better really. I think its another gamble not to bring some cover in for Kane. It would be very different if we could rely on the other two to get goals, but that prospect looks incredibly unlikely.

No faith in Soldado?...

Look, I'm not saying that I'm dreaming of having 2 strikers. But if the Spurs directors & coaches deem it the least bad move, then there must be a vital reason for it, and I'm happy trusting in such an extreme decision.

I've wanted him to come good for a long time, but there comes a point were you have to accept its incredibly unlikely to change.

Lets face it, if we lose Kane or Eriksen we're in trouble, particularly the former IMO - because he's the only forward we have who is going to work from the front, and crucially the only one who can stick the ball in the back of the net on a regular basis.

Quietest window for as long as I can remember, in both action and ITK/rumours.

Kinda like it, I have zero expectations, and am quite at ease with it.

I'd be happy for Ade to leave but we need a proper CF to replace him (even if it's an emergency loan).

Chadli is having a good season, but playing as the focal point of the attack with your back to goal is not the same as the role he's been playing for us out wide or as a support striker behind Kane etc.

I've a feeling Lennon will still be with us tomorrow. It doesn't seem like he fancies any of the options.

It's not a role Adebayor is handling well lately either, is it? If he goes, with no replacement, it's for a damn good reason.
