I've been o this forum through about 6 transfer window and the amount of times i've heard ITK saying "something big is happening" is a joke.

Be honest do you really think in todays instant media world do you really think any "big and exciting" signing would be kept under wraps until he is unveiled?

No. And I never, suggested that. BUT. I know how Levy does Business and I remember a deal for Luka suddenly appearing on SSN when there was no build up to it whatsoever. It is possible, but, we are here to discuss ITK and that piece of ITK leads me to believe (especially coupled with the investment/takeover news) that something might happen.

Wasn't it JJ not Akqayid that alluded to a signing having already happened?

Rhetorical question by the way.;)

I thought it was akqayid, but only because I screamed "Moutinho is done?" as a reply to what he said... And I've never asked JJ a question. Which is what "Moutinho is done?" however screamed, counts as. ;)

Fair enough Sum if you got a direct answer to a question from Akqayid. I'll take that on the chin. (y)

I do know that JJ responded to a poster (not me) asking why we haven't signed anyone yet by saying words to the effect of What makes you think we haven't?

"Topic: Clive Allen Has defiantly gone"

I'm guessing this was answered already but he meant definitely right, not defiantly?

Well i'm going to be a right bastard and talk about today's ITK. I hope I don't get banned for this.

We could certainly do with getting new scouts in. Newcastle for one are doing something right. It's time we started picking up some young prospects at reasonable prices again. One of the things that frustrated with Harry in charge was that most of his signings were tried and tested in England. That's ok on one hand but on the other hand there are so many prospects out there. We need to be signing players before they become hugely recognised, their value goes up and the top teams come sniffing.

I would love us to sign some random name in this window that comes out of left field, and hardly anyone knows about him. Preferably someone decent though of course.

I agree and Newcastles success in the transfer market kind of indirectly got Harry the boot.

I'm glad we now seemed to be linked to young up and coming talents again rather than establish world class players who are out of our wage bracket.

Who took the decision to bin Graham Carr, assuming he is responsible for Newcastles success in the scouting department, was it Harry

Our network in brazil has improved hugely over the last few years Surely have a Portuguese manager is going to help bring the best young stars from brazil to spurs We can do what Portuguese Spanish and Italian clubs have been doing for years I hope IB stays as he has clearly been a part of that and I can see us increasing our coverage there

Pretty sure he was at City before Newcastle. Tottenham before that, so a long time ago.

Well done mods - it's time we had some real discussion here. I think that would have been the way to sort out the unmentionable one stuff.
Back to ITK, nice that Ben turned up with a post when we were all getting desperate.
Our transfer activity was crap under Redknapp so heads shall fall!

Hey. So, here are the rules.

Any mention of Twitter in this thread will result in a week's ban from posting in this forum.

Any off topic stuff will be moved and your posting rights will be removed for 24 hours.

Post ITK in the READ ONLY forum, then post it here. Please. It helps us to help you.

I'm locking this for 15 minutes while I clean it up. TM has done an outstanding job, I'm going to apply the Stoof garnish. Yeah. That's what I said to your mothers.

Ok so my original post got caught in the cull.

Interesting to see that IM is off as he seems to have been doing a decent job lately with his scouting. However perhaps the contract bits that seemed to have held up announcing AVB include him wanting his own scouts.

Right...so as the only ITK today has been above Clive Allen I'll mention that.

Have to say I'm disappointed that he's not involved as it's always good to have a Spurs legend on the books, but in all honesty it's not surprising. AVB will want his own band of brothers (which I don't think he was entirely permitted at Chelsea) and I'm not entirely sure what he actually brought to the party in terms of coaching.

re BEN info, to be honest I'm happy with it, a coach needs a Scout he can trust, if he's bringing in his own man it means they are on the same page straight away re potential players.

NB: Stoof.....add the milk sooner man, add the milk sooner for the love of god.

Was my huddlestone info deleted deliberately?

it was just a post saying that the mail is off with their info, his contract runs til 2015 not 2013 as reported.
