I haven't seen enough extravagant use of the outside of the boot from either Oscar or Moutinho, to feel they could replace Luka!

No love for Castaignos still? Only a couple of reports a few weeks back but if there is truth to Inter being open to offers, pull th tirgger on that deal all day long.

Don't profess to know much about him but one does question why Inter would be so willing to let him go, unless it's to gain experience out on loan.

Someone else said this the other day because there is stuff all over t'internet with conflicting signing dates for Inter - by the sounds of it, they took him on loan and refused to give him back!Got to be worth a look!

if qpr could almost get deal done for him last january and even get to work permit stage then im sure spurs can get over line now with all contract stuff apaarently sorted.

not sure what to make of that latest itk from the goat. imvho sturridge is overrated greedy defoe mark II to be honest. he is certainly not much of a team player. as for the rest i think is all dependent on modric been sold and getting good money for him. we dont have any given right to moutinho just cos avb is in now and if he was to leave porto he will im sure have plenty of options from clubs bigger than us. united been just one in market for creative midfielder.

also thought once upon time they was a seperate transfer fund for up coming outstanding youngsters, would oscar fall into this category? maybe not but just saying. i think myself it would be clever to bring both sigurdsson in and oscar and like sandro let oscar just ease into new life in london and team and squad seen the full benefits down the line.

i do think though the likes of lennon and huddelstone maybe dawson might be a wee bit concerned in the way that AVB's teams line up but personally think the way to go with personnel at spurs is a 4-2-3-1 formation albeit more fluid and pacier one that usual!!
Was the goat posting from Jj as no mention of usual sources? Or no more usual source after jj's retirement yesterday ?

i think im one of a small percentage that would be quite happy with sturridge but only as one of two/three strikers that we sign

No idea. He signed, and has hardly seen the light of day since. Might just be a move too soon for a young player. Of course, the reports might have been cow excrement.

I'm sure there was some itk early on in the window can't think from who saying about nani, and now just see that valencia has his number 7 shirt last year, maybe putting 2 +2 together and getting 5 but who would be happy with him? Portuguese too ;)

Michael Owen wore #7 for Utd. Nani wears 17!

if goats could talk:) no idea but i think what spurs need now is to inspire and instill some confidence back in fans. im not overly excited with AVB tbh but get a few top top players in and thats all changes. prepared to give him a chance but buying sturridge is going about it all wrong way!!!

i hope thats not JJ from the goat though! i dont think it is.

Im going for £35m plus Sturridge for Modric. Calling it now

Cloud Nine alright. £30m at most and probably £25m + tbh. Does mean we can but Moutinho for £20 - £25m, so we'd still come out on top.

Please be realistic though. Don't get carried away. (y)

He is basically saying it is a difficult deal to do with all the parties involved, red tape is normally associated with processes with barriers. He is probably referring to agents, perhaps some third party ownership and maybe even Oscar's family.

Did post earlier that he was refused a work permit at Xmas when QPR (edit - I did know) agreed to buy him for £6m! As I said, that's inflation for you!

He's now got international caps - plus, it could always be a 2 for 1 deal (here's hoping!)

huddlestone shouldnt be going anywhere imo, one of very few young english midfielders who can actually play with that round thing that the spaniards appear so enamoured with.....

Even if we got the Oscar thing sorted quickly, players like him rarely arrive in the Premiership firing on all cylinders. I'd guess a young South American new to the country and league would need at least a season to acclimatise.

That's not a reason not to buy him if he's any good but it is a reason not to build next season's midfield around him.

Sturridge would be a decent buy, young, English, Prem experience and shouldn't cost the earth.

Let's not forget as it stands Defoe is the only striker on our books!

Gio doesn't count lol.
