You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

Just watched some videos (didn't watch much of any other teams last season) and J-Rod played from the left, so he, i guess is the cheaper Griezmann option.

I'm kinda sceptical about this double deal as it doesn't really solve problems per se: but it sure as shit creates new ones.

There is no way we are signing 2 players for good money without selling a minimum of 2 out of the squad.

So who is toast? Surely Holtby?
It's complex when you consider the World Cup lot aren't even back yet

Oh, for an insight into Poch's ideas on the squad!

Wouldn't be surprised if it was either sandro going (as has been rumoured) or dembele.

Touche.....

But if Liverpool are in for Rodriguez and Schneiderlin prefers us over Arsenal who as we all know are in the CL and we are not then it shows some level of commitment to the manager that i guess we havn't seen since Harry (pre end of season for explosions of doom)

Actually hope we get Rodriguez now just to piss off liverpool, no way can they go back to Remy if they miss out on Jay.

We will likely lose the beast in the next couple of days then, no way would we sign Schneiderlin without selling Sandro or Capoue or other clubs lower what they are willing to pay

From SaintsWeb:

Just put a call into my source. They will both be allowed to leave. There's an offer for both if them to Spurs and there's also an offer from Liverpool for J-Rod.

Have to say signing rodriguez makes sense with regard to his injured state. A) the other players in that position (Chadli, Townsend etc) might raise their game knowing they have a period of time to make the position their own before j-rod returns to fitness. B) signing now gives j-rod time to settle at the club, build relationships etc to ease his transition into the team.

Having said that, IMO i thought he was just functional as a player at Southampton and when he played for England i honestly remember thinking WTF is this clown doing getting a game!!

If we sign him i will back him but im not sure hes an improvement and think Chadli would have looked better in Southamptons team than he did.

I think it's Sandro. Although it could be both too

Don't think we were willing to cough up £20m for him

From the sounds of things, we always wanted J-Rod, whereas Griezmann was only a passing interest at best

You could say the same of Gerrard—or just about anyone, come to think of it.

No way Holtby, he works his arse off which is needed for Poch's system and has played well in America.

My guess? Paulinho. Gomes gone and possibly Sandro leaving and he may wanna go too.

I'm sure we can get the Chavs to give Little Paul a home.

He's more direct than Griezmann. Will score more rather than create.

He's the proven EPL option vs Kono and Depay too.

I'd gladly sell Dembele, I'm hoping 'Arry still has some cash left.

I'd be gutted if we lost Sandro. Dembele though I'd be happy to see leave. His slow release play just doesn't seem compatible with the Poch philosophy

I'm just happy to see Poch being backed by Levy. Wrap these up quickly and we theoretically only need to sign a CB and our business is done.
