I am yet to understand why some feel it necessary to be twattish to ITKs or about the info they share. Drives me and most people here mad because we truly appreciate them sticking their necks out.
If I don't really understand or believe what they've said I just leave it and say nothing, after all they could have not bothered

Let me know when we get one. All we seem to get is ITK on signings then a long drawn out wait. Vorm and Davies for example. We knew well in advance they were coming.
Don't sound so negative mate! ITK really just keeps our excitement levels up until a signing is announced. There is technically no benefit of ITK but god it's like a druuuuug!

We moan about the lack of ITK, yet long for the days where the first we knew about Klinsmann signing was when it popped up on teletext.

Not Holtby either.
I agree on Capoue and Holtby - just looking at the way the wind's blowing: the youngsters wouldn't be big enough names to allow Southampton to save face and the likes of Sandro and Paulinho (others that have been mentioned as possible leavers) would command too high a fee if sold for Levy to countenance wrapping them up in a deal.
I suppose Chadli could be one for the chop but (as with Capoue and Holtby) I think there is a decent player in there who just needs a bit of time.

With Sherwood & Redknapp out the door, Levy has plugged a lot of the leaks. Doesn't make for interesting times on forums but I'd personally give that up for securing signings before rivals are informed & hijack the deal.

Plus nothing beats unexpected signing!
I remember getting a PM from someone the morning we signed Saha and Nelsen they were unexpected but many signings have beaten them in terms of msking me happy/excited/optimistic

Unfortunately - nearly all the players people keep saying they want to see the back of have homegrown status.

Naughton, Dawson, Rose etc (some people even say Lennon/Townsend)

Siggy had it and we've let him go. It really is a tightrope we're treading with the size of our squad if we buy from overseas again. Hence why i think names like Shawcross come up when we want to upgrade on Dawson - if we upgrade from abroad it squeezes us in midfield etc

True.

Haha! Very true.

My point is, ideally, the good ones are kept below the radar and signed quickly. Although, I accept that rarely happens nowadays.

I get the feeling that talking about our own players enough is somewhat akin to Frodo putting on the ring, forgetting that THE EYE is always watching:nailbiting:

Simon Peach, the Press Association guy for Saints and Spurs is reporting that Spurs are close to signing Schneiderlin and Rodriguez... I'll take the specific tweet to the player threads.

Press Association reporting we are close to signing Morgan Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez.

I've wanted Rodriguez for a while, so I'll be happy with that but his injury was quite serious if I recall. Doesn't sound like a Levy thing to do.

Well, that would be under the radar ITK wise.

Interest: yes
Signing: so soon?

Along similar lines but not RO worthy, over on SO an hour or so ago someone expressed a fear that Liverpool might go in for Rodriguez & Ari Gold replied:

We've been his ear a long time. Worked with Davies, Rodriguez would definitely be about plan D for Liverpool, which he might not look favourably on.

& Jasper added that he believed both players would 'fancy us'

A Saints ITK seemingly suggesting that the Schneiderlin+Rodrgiuez deals are happening AND Koeman might be considering his position as manager!!!

Southampton are getting collectively raped. Although they are going to have a huge wad owed to them.

Do you think Levy secretly wishes he was Southampton's chairman? ;).

BTW as someone who uses 'that' website, Simon Peach is as reliable as it comes for Southampton news. Has called all the deals over the last few weeks.
