@danielneeds - You sick bastard
Somewhere David Platt and Graham Taylor are laughing heartily...Poor Koeman.
Ah, sod them, their fans hate us from the Hoddle & Richards poach years ago.Great we are signing some great players hopefully, but you can't help but feel sorry for Southampton. They are getting mugged off big time.

I'm with you there mate. While I appreciate the value of giving the new manager the tools he wants in order to do the job, one would hope he has a broad enough knowledge of the footballing world to either know that there are players who can do those jobs in the Spurs squad already, or that there are alternatives elsewhere in the world that wouldn't cost upwards of £45 million the pair.I get that Pochettino may want to have some players that he already knows, but we have our own versions of Schneiderlin and J Rod imo. Capoue is just like Schneiderlin, and Chadli is the same as J Rod.
Spending so much money on 2 players that won't change much makes little sense to me, specially J Rod as we can't know if he'll be the same player again
Speaks volumes for how much of the team was of Poch's making.True. We've had it bad in terms of losing our best players, but never at once in this manner. Don't think any club has. Losing Berbatov and Keane in the space of a month was as bad as we had it.
Fees haven't yet been agreed and I am guessing that'll be the major stumbling point. One is being valued at 27m and the other is currently out injured. I wouldn't call it "close" knowing Levy's involved.

I would've thought we could get both for £30m.Fees haven't yet been agreed and I am guessing that'll be the major stumbling point. One is being valued at 27m and the other is currently out injured. I wouldn't call it "close" knowing Levy's involved.
It's hugely symbolic of his influence - both, in that the players being snapped up thus far have largely attributed their advancement to him and/or want to follow him here - and also a testament to his techniques/method.Speaks volumes for how much of the team was of Poch's making.
Are you ITK on this or guessing?

We can sign Rodriguez on a pre contract for free in January, he must be a cut price deal surely
we could send Benny to Soton as a free gift, what do you say?
