I stand corrected, Benitez didn't do bad either, so your right about fans not being right all the time.

I was thinking more in terms of their unhappiness with his signings, I know it that depends on the funds he had available, but with our new stadium we got to get our signings right on our limited budget over the next few years.

Well I'd be unhappy if this was the kind of dross he started signing for us (ironic):

Marquinho
Pjanic
Kjaer
Gago
Osvaldo
Krkic
Lamela
Borriello
Stekelenburg
-
Assuncao
Nakata
C. Zanetti
Emerson
Samuel
Cassano
De Rossi
Chivu
Mexes
Batistuta
Guardiola
Panucci
Montella

Bringing it back to the naming rights once again.

I don't know about you lot, but I will always call it White Hart Lane.

It don't matter what name they stick on it, to me that's the name already.

Not a fan of Air Asia and the red they bring.

I flew with them from Stanstead to KL en route to Australia and water wasn't free and they would only accept Malaysian currency!
Don't care about free water, £500million will buy a whole load of water ;)

The White Hart Song Gang Lane has a certain ring to it...
I'm reasionably sure whatever else our new sponsers call it, White Hart and Lane won't be anywhere in the naming rights deal, but as I said earlier it will forever be the Lane, to me and thousands of others.

Why?
If the fans want him out, he hasn't exactly covered himself in glory.
I would rather someone a club's fans would hate to see go than one they want rid of.

Doesn't always work like that though

I hope we can call it Bale's Home for many years to come.

I use to say that when one to one were bought by T-mobile. I got brainwashed in the end :( but i agree with what you're saying.

Anyone think they might put Lane in the new name instead of stadium/arena etc?

The AirAsia Lane, perhaps?? Then it would still be "the lane" to us fans.

Sorry to get all highfalutin and quoting Shakespeare but "what is in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet."

Old Stadium or New, It'll always be the Lane or White Hart Lane to the fans, personally I couldn't care less what any other clubs fans call it or what they think about it

I wonder if there's a plan C if Leandro buggers off to somewhere like Napoli and Villa signs for Arsenal. We always have a backup plan, right?
