Will he resurface here or via Twitter under another pseudonym?
JJ confirmed on Twitter the other day that we aren't working on that at the moment unfortunately.
He might not have used it since Tuesday but it was actually deactivated this evening, I know cos my Followers list went down by one as I refreshed the page, and I wondered why and sussed out it was cos Akqayid was no more. It's been defuncted since Tuesday he was getting a lot of abuse.
Well perhaps if you weren't so aggressive, people would feel more inclined to reply to your posts properly. Occasionally, people will have a different opinion to you. I wasn't saying that I don't buy that all of those media reported events happened on deadline day (although I am dubious about some), I was saying that I don't buy that it wasn't ultimately our fault that the deal didn't get done. Moutinho apparently wanted to come, AVB wanted the deal, Levy looked like he was happy to do the deal, so why did we mess it up?
And yes, I do think putting transfers together can be a piece of piss; there are many examples out there that prove just that. Take the Dembele deal - we put in a reasonable offer (one that met his buyout price if reports are to be believed), it was accepted, we agreed terms with the player and it was done. All in the space of a few hours/days (not sure when the offer went in). What isn't easy is when Levy offers 20p for a player when the club want 20 million pounds and we spend all summer long trying to meet somewhere in the middle. Like I said in my original post, I don't blame Levy for this, and it often gets us cheaper deals, but just now and again, when the player is special and the number one choice of the new manager, I wish that Levy would go in with a reasonable offer that is not entirely insulting to the player and the selling club, and just get the job done.

Sevilla have spoken out, revealing that the club rejected a £20 million offer for star striker Alvaro Negredo on transfer deadline day. This report comes after Tottenham reportedly made a transfer bid for the star player, despite being one of the busiest clubs at the end of the transfer window period.
‘A club from England went to £20million on deadline day for Negredo,’ revealed chairman Jose Maria del Nido. ‘Negredo was not interested in the offer. That was not a day to do business.’
You'll find out the answer to that at 11:59 Jan 31st

Well, that was fun, wasn't it?
I'm afraid if there's one thing I won't stand for on SC it's this.
Not his behaviour, his language, his abuse of fellow posters, his swearing at A&C (let's face it, it's hard NOT to most days), or his lack of any noticeable engagement of his brain, but rather I mean the shame he has brought to the movie The Big Lebowski. How he could bring shame to The Dude like that I don't know. But I won't stand for it.
As you were, everyone.
