JJ, one question if I may:
Did we, the club, let ourselves down at the end of the window or was it third parties.
No need to expand, I just want to know if we are at fault.
Closure?

That doesn't sound good. An opinion question please JJ, is AVB/the team/levy harmonious right now. What you said really concerns me that Tom wasn't fit. He stated in twitter he had a full pre season, is it that we wanted him out either loan or sale, so not being bothered with? Or generically the training methods are not suffice.
I was assuming that AVB would be bang on the training and coaching/player improvement?
That would be a bigger blow than anything thats ever happend on the pitch in my lifetime (and would take a lot of explaining to my kids who go to a predominantly chav-infested school)!) Or did you actually mean it in the biblical sense - id love to see AVBs face if that were to pass!I am gonna be unhappy if we sack AVB before Christmas lets a grip we are fucking Chelsea.
From what I have read, AVB tends to use the Mourinho style coaching method of all the training is done with the ball etc as opposed to going for 10km cross country runs, shuttle runs, you know, general fitness work. Now what has traditionally happened with Mourinho teams is that if you are injured or lacking in fitness at the start of the season, it is nigh on impossible to get yourself back into the team, as there is no running for 10km to build you general fitness back up.
I wonder if the same thing has happened with Huddlestone, he just hasn't been given the normal fitness work you would get in a traditional pre-season? This of course is just a theory but might explain why he is so short given he is coming back from injury.
Good thing about running is that you can do it at any time, not just at work. If he wants to get fit just go for a run after training.
Sleep is overrated anyway.
You are of course completely right and perhaps he needs to start doing a few double sessions to get his fitness back. He will have the opportunity to now he is suspended for 3 matches anyway!
Meant to say we are not Chelsea. That would be a bigger blow than anything thats ever happend on the pitch in my lifetime (and would take a lot of explaining to my kids who go to a predominantly chav-infested school)!) I have to disagree with Rob a little here. Its seems with AVB is ALL about the stats and not the tactics.
Who are the 2 guys on the bench with the pieces of paper always taking notes? its like they have boxes that need to be ticked.
Jake Livermore gave an interview with a local paper just after the USA trip. Asked about pre-season he stated that its been all about fitness and improving conditioning. But, this was the important bit he then said 'we'll now probably talk about tactics and systems now we are back in the UK'. Then Benny said the same thing but only last week after the West Brom game. he might have said it jokingly but i think it spoke volumes. Asked about the team performance he said 'we just need tactics'.
2 players have said this now, maybe JJ can enlighten us?
See, I like that. My only concern is some of our players are too dumb to respond to it. Someone like Rafa on the other hand I assume would have done great with actual tactics/training.
Is Freund coaching then? I assume Ferdinand is still around but that's the last of Arry's boys?
So I wonder what is so sensitive that JJ can't post.
Seeing as he can't tell us, lets knock out (easy A&C) something and list the possiblities.
I'll start:
Levy's just realised AVB is shit
AVB just realised Levys a shit
Levy and AVB are both shits and they've both just realised
All other clubs think Spurs are shits and wont deal with us
VDV & Modric realised we are shits, Levy thought they were too
Something not to do with shit
JJ: I promised a round up and now I have all the facts I won't be posting them for many reasons. Sorry but it's too sensitive information. Stuff you wouldn't believe and especially not for twitter. Not sure whether I will be returning to Twitter or not?Sensitive may not be bad, or indeed Levy-AVB related.

Hey, look man, I appreciate your info as much as anyone, I'm just surprised to hear you say that you are close in at the top table, that's all.
But it's really none of my business where you get your info from. Good luck to you and thanks for keeping us informed over the summer.
Difference in attitude, that why I like defoe, he's Tottenham and he cares. Maybe not the best player but he gives a f....If Defoe was able to go off and get himself fit(ter) off his own bat last summer then surely Tom can as well.
