Agreed Lennon and Mirallas are very different players - but I'm not sure Mirallas is an upgrade on Chadli (might be same standard) so no sense in swapping a player who knows Poch's system for another player of similar calibre who doesn't mid-season (its taken the squad quite a few months this season to learn it).

Pritchard is right footed and often plays on the left, but can play at no 10 too, so might be a decent backup to Eriksen (and has a decent free kick record too). In Spurs youth he often changed to play in any of the AM positions during the matches which might be a useful attribute for Poch

I think Pritchard might become Eriksen's primary understudy at ACM. Selling Paulinho and Carroll in particular will clear his route to that.

Onomah is more of a CM not a winger.

Yeah - it's Oduwa who is our young LWF

I like you 225 and you seem pretty sharp, but I'm not sure why you seem at all keen on continuing to lend any validity to the words of a manager in the middle of a transfer window pertaining to transfers, especially one as close to the chest as Poch.

I've been softened and conditioned by Honest Tim and Genuine Harry, I guess.

I think, having watched the video of the press conference, he uses gestures and shrugs in substitution for the word 'no', meaning that his quotes can be confusing

I just wouldn't pay it any attention. He didn't gave away anything in the summer, in fact things ended up quite the opposite of what he said, and I don't think he'll start giving things away now.

If the mirralles and Lennon rumours are true then it's a no brainer isn't it ? Can't see a negative ? We've got Lennon earning 70k a week who goes out on the lash and doesn't turn up to training and can't even get in the squad versus a mirralles who is capable of scoring unbelievable goals beats his man and plays in a very good Belgium side.

Bit abrupt, considering that was the conclusion being suggested a few pages back.
It's simply obvious that he didn't say that his entire squad was for sale. Who would do that? People are just trying to create some drama they can be outraged about.

I'm not totally convinced by Mirallas, seems like the sort of player who produces the odd belter or eye popping run, but the rest of the time is pretty frustrating. Plus he is injury prone

On the plus side he is proven in The PL, is good friends with our Belgian contingent and will offer pace and direct running with added quality that is lacking from Lennon and Townsend

So if we can get a deal done and shift Lennon at the same time then I'm all for it. I just don't expect him to come in and drastically improve us

Interesting what Eriksen had to say about Pritchard (at the end of 13/14)

"He’s a really good player and he made a real impression on me in the first few days he was back at the club," said Christian.

"He’s very skilful, good on the ball. He didn’t get much of a chance on his debut, a short time, but he’s really talented. He’s one for the future, for sure."

Yet the words that came out of his mouth were "Any player is for sale. Any player".

Simply obvious..........

You'll probably also find that no one was actually outraged about it - it was well taken in the posts in this thread, as every player does indeed have a price.

This ties in well with a few posts back, Pochettino made a linguistic mistake, and simply chose the wrong words. The media has since helped him out by updating the quotes to fit with his actual intentions, not with his actual words. There is nothing more to this story.

Losing a homegrown for a non-homegrown (when we're already two over quota), and Mirallas' injury issues, are two downsides.

It wouldn't be a straight swap either - we'd probably have to stump up an extra £5m or so.

Is there evidence that Lennon doesn't turn up to training?

Sounds like we're reacquiring the Bentleychenko virus.

I agree with Poch; any player is for sale. If a club bid £50m for any one of Kane, Eriksen, or Lloris then we'd sell.

That is not what Poch meant to say and that is also not the meaning of "for sale". "For sale" = "I wish to sell, we'll agree on a price", not "Yeah, maybe I would sell for a silly offer".

Is mirrallas any more injury prone than azza ? No chance !!! Does he deliver more assists and goals per game ? Oh yes...

I mentioned some weeks back after a Sunday night when he got turned away from a club for being drunk after being on a all dayer. I was then told on the Tuesday he didn't go training on the Monday and therefore wouldn't be in the side for the next few games, I think it was before the forest game but not sure. I've seen him out and hammered during the week many many times to add weight (if you needed it) to the story
