Looks like the Dele Alli ITK is starting to be picked up by the press (see Alli thread).

With no ins for the 1st team I worry if we get an injury to Kane or Eriksen. Would just like someone else who looks like they could actually score
Agreed but think the only position we need to strengthen is center fwrd, i really dont think we need/will get anyone in another position this window. Who can we realistically get in this window up top? cant think of any

Then who will be brought up from the pool of young talent if (God forbid) Kane gets injured?
Not just injured, burn out, a bad run. Its clear Ade and Soldado in particular will not score goals for us so we will have a team
where our center fwrd simply wont score. Not good

There used to be a time when I used to look forward to deadline day with feverish hope, urging us forward to the mythical "Levy Time" and expecting POTL's blue and yellow to finally come to fruition, or Akayid's "Falcao, Goodnight" having a small slither of truth to it. Alas, I started listening to my voice of reason and seeked the wisdom of JJetset, who unfortunately for us fans gave us the truth, and the truth was not always positive.

Deadline day should be celebrated by us Spurs fans if we manage to get rid of our perceived deadwood, one included in that should be Andros Townsend imo.
Think Townsend is Summer sell as he can actually do a job for us on the right in certain games. Agreed he is not good enough for us long term and we may well get a decent fee for him

Jesus Christ. 2014 actually looks pretty good in comparison to that list.

don't see any reason to sell him unless we get good Money. He is still a young lad, he loves the club etc.

Townsend is governed by his inability to do something that gives the opposition something else to think about. He is far to easy to predict and is lazy in getting back to track his man. Technically he is not good enough to play the right inside fwd position. That said, for pace and directness, perhaps he should have a stay of execution until the summer?

Exactly Gaz. I'm all for bringing through youth, and its fantastic, but not at the expense of us being short in certain areas.

No idea what we do if Kane gets injured. We can't rely on Soldado to score goals and if we sanction a loan deal for Adebayor tomorrow it becomes even more imperative that we bring some cover in for Kane.

CC final, top four mix, still in the Europa League - the winner of which gets in the CL and we're now entering the defining month of the season, surely we need to bring in some cover.

I realize Soldado is not in form but Poch needs to sub him in while the team is still committing to go forward and score. Poch subbed Soldado in with 3 minutes left when the game is being killed off. He should have subbed him after 3rd goal. He will never gain any confidence this way.

I dont think we need too many in right now that can wait until the summer but one or two might just make the difference.

He's 30 years old! 18 months into his career with spurs and you're effectively suggesting that we need to build his confidence??? I'm sorry but please come to the realisation that Soldado was a poor piece of business and we need to move I from it!

Soldado's scoring record at all his previous clubs, save perhaps for Real Madrid, is far in advance of what he has done here. That footballer is in there somewhere and despite how much time has passed I am still not convinced that he is as bad as what we have seen.

Granted there is an argument for "how long do we wait?", but it's likely the Spursy way that he will go elsewhere and start banging them in.
