I'm rather concerned that no-one has asked if this is the 'usual' source...???

My concern is that if no-one has asked this 3 hours later, have I missed something and I'm going to be shot down in flames for asking the question??? If so... You haven't seen me, I wasn't here, and this post really isn't here. It's just a figment of your imagination.

Yeah, the mods don't want people questioning the source of the Goat mate, it is to be accepted that whoever it is has been verified or something.

We are looking for 2 strikers, Adebayor would seem to be the main target but what about putting in a bid for Wellbeck. He is in his last year of his contract on 16,000 per week, negotiations have broken down with him and Man Utd and i`m sure a player that would thrive under AVB

Jeez, apart from the kit stuff, I have to admit it's not been a great day (by recent standards).

Tomorrow is Friday though (and hope abounds!!), already A&C is in his bed busily creating verse to some 80's tunes! Looking forward to it already...

I'm 'Living' on a Prayer', but 'I just Can't Get enough'. Although I fear, It'll be a Cruel, Cruel Summer....'

Night all. My crap thoughts will thankfully be consigned to today's history of SC! Wishing you all well.

But he was suggesting the other day that he might return to being the goat...
...and the Goat has been quite chatty since. Obviously a coincidence, nothing to see here.

Am loving our transfer/potential transfer business so far, it's all so logical:

Krancjar>Sigurdsson
King>Vertonghen
Modric>Moutinho
Friedel>Lloris
Adebayor>er...Adebayor
Naughton>Fryers

Now we all know that right midfield and up front are our weak points. Defoe out is exciting cos it means another signing, but I don't think we need to go too crazy this window. If the squad settles down as expected and the odd Gio or *shivers* Bentley remains, then they've got 4 months to see if they can contribute. Meanwhile, the new players can settle and if we need to keep tweaking, we've got January. Also i'd like there to be room in the squad to try out a few of the young uns, be it cup matches or whatever.
There's no use us ending up like Man City with 5 world class forwards or Chelsea with a reserve team full of gifted youngsters that are stagnating or us having a team full of strangers that have only just got here. It's a fine balance. Nor do we need a bench full of former first teamers that have been usurped by new signings. In this respect the one in one out policy seems to be working.

So defo Defoe out, £10million, a nice down payment on his replacement with a right-side inclined forward of some description

I've got "more than a feeling" that we'll sign somebody tomorrow........

Or was that a seventies number?

I'll get my coat................

Hilarious.

Only in this forum could the day we CONFIRMED Vertonghen and launched our new kit be described as a 'quiet day.'

It's livened up this evening though. I expected pages and pages after the Defoe ITK... Now a smattering of Lloris...

It's all good

Lennon isn't a weak point in himself, it's just we've got no cover or competition for him unless you include *shivers* Bentley

Lennon is a good player but our struggles when he was injured was due to not having a like for like replacement...

On the PSG front, with Ibra and Levezzi coming in already, if they add further, I'd love for them to kick us a cheap deal or either Menez or Gameiro if they're deemed surplus.

in the case that lennon isnt the weak link, how about we sign a young player with potential or a free ie hoilett to cover both left and right. I know lots of ppl on here dont like him but Gio could be cover for both of these positions IMO. He may not be great but id give him till jan under AVB. Rafa could play there too in a 4 33, id say he cant in a 442 though.

Such a shame modric wont stay i think in a 4 33 he could win Player of the year and we could achieve top 3

New GK, Walker,BAE,Kaboul,Verts,Sandro/Parker,Modric,VDV/Sig,Lennon/VDV,Bale,Ade is as good as Ive ever seen at spurs. Bench will be tasty too Brad,Daws,Caulker,Parker,VDV/Sig/Lennon,Gio,Defoe
