Anybody else heard this "also told spanish tv rights going equal spread like epl. will dent madrid/barca spending power in future. this apparently public knowledge though"?

I thought it was still under debate, not a sure thing. Would do wonders for their league.

There has been talk about this in the press before, that the EU regulators dislike the unfair advantage given to barca and RM.

We've followed Leandro for a couple of years now so I would not be surprised if we're still monitoring him. His stock has fallen since the Olympics as well so I think Daniel Levy will get a good deal on him now. I think now could finally be the time. Again!

If we are actually going to land Damiao this seems to be the best window to do so.

Inter have overestimated his value for a couple window now and this summer he was linked to Napoli which seems to have completely evaporated, and Southampton which they stalled because Damiao wanted a "bigger club"....right now we seem to be the major player in their market. I think Inter would finally cash in after realizing that they have no market and Damiao's price is on the decline.

Far more interesting than double guessing GB current mood - of which I care less and less about each day

That is very very interesting.

cant see the duopoly accepting that though.

It's a dangerous game to play now if we let Madrid/Bale get away with these tactics then everyone will be trying it and we'll look like idiots. I think we should realease a statement saying "It has come to our attention that Gareth Bale wishes to join Real Madrid. Although Gareth is a great player of ours we would not want to stand in the way of a player moving on. It is therefore with great sadness that Bale will leave Tottenham Hotspur as soon as we receive a bid of £102m. Until then we hope Gareth can stay professional and fulfills he contracted duties with us."

Pre Willian saga: SSN know nothing!!!
Post Willian: SSN is taken as gospel!
If anything he has probably been told to stay away from the training ground whilst we wrap up Lamela, so his move to Real can be wrapped up soon after.

Either that or Levy is playing high stakes texas hold'm, with just one ace and a two. With the flop revealing an 3,8 & a 9, with the Turn he was hoping for a 10, and now the the River he needs an ace. He can still get the ace and win the season with a pair of them!

The lack of concrete information (from anywhere, not just ITK) about other targets apart from Lamela is slightly concerning. It is quite obvious that we need much more than just Lamela to complete our team...:sour:

"He's tall, strong, a very good goalscorer, a threat in the air and skilful with both feet"

  • "He's six foot something, fit as a flea, good looking - he's got to have something wrong with him. Hopefully he's hung like a hamster - that would make us all feel better. Having said that, me missus has got a pet hamster at home, and his cock's massive."

HertYid latest itk is worth looking at. I have always been convinced that RM are pushing so hard for this deal because finally the European Commission report will be coming out on the special terms four Spanish clubs, including RM & Barca, enjoy which is against EU law. They have stalled over this but will be forced to take action to level the playing field and with FFP these big deals will become less possible. This to me also calls into question the ability to pay.

Spurs know this and that RM need to sell to pay for the GB deal
